Hello every one,
I have been unable to post lately, due to work. It seems to allways get
in the way.
I did adjust a few small things. First I am running all the windings in
parallel. Thats the two slaves and the four windings in the master coil.
I tried a few different ways of connecting them, but this seems to work
the best right now. My SRC is latching at higher RPMs so I have to put
a pretty heavy load on the wheel to slow it down. I am surprised on how
much this little wheel takes to slow it down. I plan to put a small generator
on it as a load soon, but need to address some other things first.
Also as John K. suggested to move the coils futher away. I will add a 10mm
spacer under the wheel supports to start.
I did adjust the slave coils out and in some. Left slave out, right slave in
just a couple mm's and the hall needs to be just inside the trigger range
for it to self start. As soon as it kicks on, in the reverse dirrection, it will be
out of range and the slave coils kick it into forward.
The hall is also just at the top of the passing magnets. Not in the middle.

I got this circuit idea from Dave (Double D). The mosfet Tesla Switch man!
This cap dump circuit use a opto fet driver that switch the fet on hard .
It only dumps to about 70% of the cap voltage as then there are no more voltage available to drive the circuitry.
It switch every time without failing no matter what speed your wheel runs at.
It does not need a cap over the opto led.

Does the mosfet turn off if you disconnect the diac from the the opto diode...? If it goes off, than the diac will not work like the sidactor does, by tripping at a high V and resetting at a lower V.
If the mosfet still stays on, try a 2K resistor in place of the 10K R4, to help pull the gate all the way down......

RS mosfet cap pulser
has anyone had any luck with Rs mosfet pulser from prev pages. I used a Diac 28v instead of the 77v with a 10000uf cap trying to charge a 12v but the cap holds a 31v charge with no pulsing on my meter. the mosfet must be turned on or my charge rate would be going up. any ideas would be great.

Although I may not understand it all yet...
One other thing John, When you say Don't do this....Well....I do it! I have found that you are right this way. Ok I am a black sheep in that regard but doing things wrong is sometimes just as important as doing them right. Fet's Neos, and many other things I have done. All validate your work.
Everything I have replicated as you describe to do it, works just as you say it Does....

I agree with all you said. One person is not equal to another person, and thats sorta the point in being so that we can all learn to appreciate each other. Its great that you are willing to share your knowledge and devices with us as each new context allows us to continue to grow our own knowledge. (and knowledge is earned thru ones own work on the bench, not armchair theorists.)
There is a difference between Guessing and Replicating tho. Without a schematic we are just guessing at which way to connect everything up properly. I don't say this to cause you to post a schematic, but simply to note the difference of having a "map" to follow, rather than trying to discover the topography while exploring the terrain. These devices interactions, while appearing simple, are not so simple.
Each provides a new context to try and understand to fit in with the existing contexts of replicated systems.
I am grateful for the iterations of context you have shared over the years. The SG. The Window motor. The Cole switch. All the various DVD's you worked with Cheniere to put out. Every thing you share is not being wasted by those of us who want to "know" for ourselves.
One of these systems has to lead to OU enough to be practically used for survival. Hopefully we as a group can cobble something together to help facilitate this sort of evolution, without some need to make money as the goal.

I gotta agree with John B again. I've been replicating what he has made public for around 4 years. I still have heaps to learn, but I will never stop learning.
Everything I have replicated works when you follow his instructions. I put my pants on the same way as John does. If you don't know how it works just build it as he says and get it working. Then study it until you figure it out.
The concept isn't that hard to grasp and a lot of people like to over think and over complicate it. The "secret" is in the switching and the timing and knowing what each part of the system is doing at each point in time.
Yes, you get better results if you use the right parts for the job, just like baking a cake. I don't see this as a big mystery. When I built my first vanilla SSG I didn't have a clue how the machine worked or how batteries behave. I just built it and studied it.
I had to research everything to find out how things work and there's still heaps to learn. It's hard work and takes a lot of time. I have a graveyard of parts I've blown up along the way but everytime I let the smoke out of something it's a learning experience.
So if anyone has any doubts about this just get in the shed and build it. Expect to make mistakes but make sure you learn from them. Don't give up, this IS the real deal and anyone can do it.
Anyone who tells you different just hasn't done the experiments or didn't follow the instructions.

Hi Dave,
Yeah no doubt this knowledge has to be learned personally on the workbench for it to have any real meaning to the one claiming knowledge. I have alot of stuff around the garage as well but not the means to build such a large diameter rotor.
I think like you then as I too sit and will change a single parameter and then watch to see what various other areas that one change impacted.
John B, from the little I know, got to see alot of these devices and inventors firsthand and in person and to fiddle with the devices to sorta see how they work. He is a very unique man with a very unique understanding based on the many contexts of devices hes worked on, built uniquely himself and other devices he replicated from other findings. He is the only "living" inventor willing to share and even talk to use lowly guys who aspire to become like him. Every other living inventor wants money up front except John.
You are very much right in wanting to know and do for yourself. We'll find out soon enough I think that we only have ourselves to rely on as the systems will be getting removed and these winter storms are going to affect the spring/summer harvest... and the result will be hyperinflation thru cost of goods.
Anyways I'm learning too. Every new context rounds out the proper model for me... which isn't looking much like the book model shared by academia.
I am wondering what Joule potential (read capacitor uF value at voltage) is needed thru what Inductance (read single strand coil) to generate what amount of force against a permanent magnet face when firing in repulsion.
It would seem that using a low resistance but high inductance coil might facilitate more torque for a set Joule discharge than another lower inductance higher resistance coil might. I *think* the higher inductance relates to a higher dephasing of current from the voltage signal being discharged from the capacitor... thus sorta keeping the "current" in the cap rather than letting it zero out the voltage on the cap when firing thru an inductance. I've begun detailing a practical method to be able to get a feel for how this should can be "practically" determined.

Since a lot of the questions that are directed towards John are not answered directly, I am experimenting because every different variation of circuit that I study will give me insight on how any variation in parameters or geometry contribute to the energy that I am looking for.
Don't get me wrong. I would love to have the answer to all of his machines, but I feel that when the whole world turns into an anarchist state just like Egypt. It would be nice to have the knowledge from personal experimentation so that I may be of assistance to my fellow man.

I think I said what I was looking for with the SOA curves, but again you must do 1 amp at DC. That has not been a problem as long as you keep the device around 35 to 45 C.
The one volt drop is expected in all these devices so that is not new. If you feel that it is not good enough change things to Fet's, and that is not going to be an easy task to do since you can't find very many that are complementary at high power. Except for some audio devices. Then you will face other problems.

Just checking, but are the outside 16 magnets barium? I thought just the inside pie shaped ones were the only barium in the system.

At the minute I can't get the PNP section to drop to zero volts (across the Emmitter & Collector) its currently sitting at 1 volt when it is switching on, it is causing it to heat up a bit, but it looks nice and square apart from that.
