No, you are a smart guy I must not have explained well. You don't make the ring out of aluminum can but out of steel can. So, find a can that has a circumference of about ten inches and make your ring from that. The ring is iron/steel and the can is aluminum. I'm glad to help any time you need me. The steel cans here are about .1mm thickness and Mr. "C" called for .2mm in thickness, but .1mm works well too. So, try it for grins and it will help motivate you quickly.
