The plot thickens...............
@All
The 1 liter test brought up something unusual
Displacement 1 liter
Time 1 min
Total power 10 watts
Temp rise 7.4 degrees
Notes : Due to proximity of heat element to container sides sample was AGGRESSIVELY agitated for the entire test.
5 liter test was GENTLY stirred,
This needs to be explored much more for obvious reasons!!
Much more testing tonight!
Chet

Brain Thing
Please watch comments such as the brain thing. It's definitely not a statement that would be taken positively by anyone here.

80 watts to raise 5 liters 13.5C /10 min
Had to use a bigger pail than one liter, used a 5 liter pail .
ran the resistance heater for ten minutes [constant stirring] starting temp was 16c, killowatt meter registered .08 watts, finish temp 29.5C
Benchmark for resistance type heat! NOTE: Not the Professors device !! A typical resistance immersion heater !![status Quo]
displacement: 5 liters
Time : 10 minutes
Total power: 80 watts
Temp rise : 13.5C
Tomorrow I will play with the container size to get it to 1 liter,[I want to see it go linear [for scale-ability and as a "Control"] ]I will test any size/time you want for your particular rig..............
Chet
PS
I believe this to be an excellent format for this Testing?
suggestions welcome we want to do this right!!
If this device works as advertised this will become very obvious and the testing should not have to be flawless??
PPS
I'm also building the device !!Last edited by RAMSET; 11-04-2011, 02:08 AM.

something you should know, you are made of 70% water and you are enhancing the water in the heater which enhances you as well...If you read the thread i mentioned earlier; you'd learn that water has memoryOriginally posted by daemonbart View PostWell I see four golden spirals when device is running..
My spinning starts in the water without the device in the water
If I stop it, water starts spinning again all by itself
Strange dream??

roll with it (your dream that is )
ps: in the previous link, if your AV says it is dangerous, don't use it and ignore that post
learn about 6 3 9 , and you'll understand

Watch the vid:
Using magnetic vortex as eddy heater. - YouTube
The idea behind this was that if we have a stationary magnet but a moving field we should be able to use it. In this video I use a small aluminum bowl filled with about a cup of water and a tablespoon of baking soda. In the middle is a ring magnet that is not touching the bowl but seperated with a plastic spacer. I attach a signal generator with the leads to the bowl and one on the magnet. The yellow wire going through the black holder is a temprature probe. In the beginning of the video I try different frequencies before finding the sweet spot of 276hz sine wave although 5-8hz seems good also. The loaded readings is 40VAC, current drawn is 3.5amps and the water starts to spin counter clockwise. As you can see the temprature will start to rise it won't win any awards for high speed heating or efficiency but the principle is working. The spinning magnetic field is causing eddy currents in the aluminum which causes heating.

even the spoons seem to show spin ... resistance heating at least you'll end up with a nice straight line graph, very different from this! Specific HeatLast edited by Duncan; 11-03-2011, 08:33 PM.

You have seen the Wave??
I believe Core ,Or some one on The Davey thread posted that they could rotate the water with a current present, may even have done a video??
Its the Heat that is the Best !!{well so far anyway]
I will be doing a test here this evening with some of our future engineers
we will be bringing 1 liter of water up in Temp with a resistance heater.
Taking notes on start Temp, Power used ,finish temp and Time....
And posting results .
just for a baseline.
Thanks
Chet
