    Questions on IKEA vacuum flask device

    Broli,

    Tests show a cop of 4-5 at the present time but there were also strong indications that the cop could go much higher. Tests have not been conducted with ionized water, but it should work with ionized water. More information will follow soon.

    COP Addressed:
    We should not be satisfied with a cop of 4-5 with this device. Signs indicate a much higher cop is achievable.

    Hi Chet,

    I don't have an IKEA near me. The closest store is I think 432 miles from me. If you would be able to pick one up for me that would be great. I'll send you funds to cover that.

    I don't have all the particulars yet on how to completely convert the IKEA vacuum thermos. As soon as I get that information I'll post it. I just wanted to give some preliminary information to show everyone that things are still cooking with regard to this replication and that experimenters are looking into alternate methods of building the device.

    IKEA does sound like a great store. I was checking them out online but they do not sell the particular vacuum flask we need online.

    IKEA Stainless Steel Vacuum Flask

    Vacuum Flask Conversion Information:

    The IKEA thermos has been tested with some great results. The stainless stays intact with no signs of electrolysis to it.

    The Thermos is not hard to modify and you will soon have instructions on how to do it easy. In this thermos we have double cans and I only cut off the bottom end of thermos so inner can also is totally open.

    This rings at very low Hz, at least for me!

    I sanded the ends of both inner and outer can to sharp ends exactly to same length.

    Around this open bottom end I placed my ring. I really don't think in this case you have to have a ring closer than about 5mm gap. A little strange but do a test!

    In the cap end I do not use the cap. I welded a stainless bolt in the cap opening for fastening the antenna in my test container. So what you have now is a thermos with no bottom and instead of cap an 8mm bolt fastened in the hole at the cap end. Eccentric, if you understand what I mean? You can see right through the antenna (thermos) now.

    I have only used stainless rings so far. I am curious to see what happens with titanium rings?

    The most important is that the thermos gives us a tall antenna ringing low.

    The setup and fastening of ring and can must be solid but does not need to be welded.

    IKEA Stainless Steel Vacuum Flask

    One of our team members has found another way to make the Serbian Boiler. He is using an IKEA Vacuum Flask such as the one shown below. Anyway, my suggestion is for you to pick up a flask like this one at your IKEA store and try it if you like. Details will be shared soon on how to utilize such a stainless steel vacuum flask in this experiment.

    I have done many tests with many different setups, but I am sort of messing up results in my dreams .

    But I think Slovenia soon have some nice data to post

    I hear he is making progress, sure hope so, winter is close!

    Someone should make a "standard list" of wich units we should use when comparing results later on.. For ex C or F, I think many uses Kelvin (same res as C but starts at absolute zero i think)

    Really good you fix up this standard for cop

    Hi!

    Fellows!

    Chet Reference test:

    1 litre test
    10 Wh (Watt hours), 1 litre 7,4 deg (Celsius or F ?) Give us 10/7,4=1,35 Wh/degree. Optimal value for celsius is 1,16Wh (no losses)

    5 litre test
    80 Wh 5 litre 13,5 deg = 5x13,5 = 67,5 deg. 80/67,5 = 1,18 deg Wh/deg

    Are we doing same calculating?

    Chet, do you use lid on test container? Anyway this look normal to me
