    Chet & Slovenia,
I haven't forgot or gave up, just haven't had time. Won't be home until late again tonight. Probably won't work on it again till Friday. I did find a site called stereo test sounds that have more choices of freq. Like 1 Hz.steps, so I will be trying to nail down more precisely where my can is ringing. Chet the clostest can I could find was 20 oz red bull. I've got it cut down to just under 7 1/4" and nail will vibrate at 60 Hz., but I think I can get it closer and get more vibration.
    Cheers, Jason

    Mounting Ring

    Hi Boguslaw,

I studied long and hard too with regard to mounting the ring. I finally came up with the method I used, and I think it's the easiest method out there. It's easy to make with hand tools too. I have some good machine tools, but I like to make things the easy way first if possible for prototype. Have another look at my bolt mounting application for the ring. That's the easiest thing I could come up with and I was asking a much higher authority than myself. I give God the glory.

    Best Regards,
    Slovenia

It might be that can is antenna. Interesting thing.Maybe, just maybe there is arcing between ring and can .... so overall picture then looks like Tesla transmitter ?! With a surface of can being rather nice capacitance it could be it accumulate amps and heat can by eddy currents. Very high frequency required but everything is possible.Assuming 160mm length and 1/4 wavelength it is then 64cm wave or around 468 Mhz....
What I learned from Tesla and old patents is rather strange forms or devices similar to ancient artefacts.

I have an oscilloscope; really nice as new function signal generator; hot plate with magnetic stirring; and zinc oxide in unopened bag.

I don't want to ship outside continental US.

    Antenna

Somewhere Mr. "C" referred to the can as an antenna too, if I remember right, and I'm pretty sure I saw that somewhere.

    Conductive Glue

This conductive glue may come in handy with our ring manufacture. Solder is a pain in the neck and I think this glue is the answer and would also look much better. I'll have a go with it soon and let you know how it turns out.
