Thanks for the update on the Litz coils. With your two Jule thief circuits together, Do you think two fuji circuits put together in this manner would also work ?

Replication test results
@All
Thank you to everybody who is building one of these and reporting in. It really helps.
I finally got my Litz wire and have been doing some testing. I have NOT been happy with the results so far. Plain old magnet wire seems to work better. Perhaps when everything is put together on a full scale model the performance is better with the Litz coils.
On my small testing unit I didn't see any advantage at all.

You can wind a coil either CW or CCW and there is no difference. Both coils will have a CW face and a CCW face. Both coils can then be positioned in the same way at each side of the Stator where both coils are showing the same face, regardless if it was originally wound CW or CCW.Originally posted by Joit View PostGb
I would say kinda.
Each Pole has a certain spin also, so it can make a different, even when not a to big one. But you are right, mainly it is the Magnetic Field, what is induced into the Coil, and what creates a move inside. But i think too, that the Coils should only be wound in the same Way at each side of the Stator.
[Edit:] I now see what you're saying. I agree it shouldn't have a noticeable effect. No two coils will be exactly the same. One coil may be wound slightly tighter than the other coil, or one coil may have a slightly longer length of wire, resistance, inductance, parasitic capacitance, etc. The difference, if any, will be much less than these other factors. Even though I think this isn't an issue, I do thank you for pointing this out. There's nothing wrong with being consistent. However, I wouldn't unwind/rewind the coils on the basis that the "starting turns" may be on opposite ends relative to a particular face on the coils.

Yes, I agree and it makes sense. Since the devil is in details I just want to clarify.Originally posted by Joit View PostGb

I decided to change my bobbins a bit before gluing them so the center tube will extend beyond the disc and into the deck. This way I can have coils well glued to the upper and lower deck and fit them with magnetite cores after. They're now 42 x 42mm (1.65") and 11.3mm (7/16") core dia.

VtechIt doesn't matter if you wind CW or CCW. The important thing is to wind all of the turns in the same rotation direction throughout the entire coil. Looking at one end of the coil, then it may appear to be wound CW, but if you turn the coil around and look at the other end, then it will appear to be wound CCW. The hands on a clock moves CW when looking at the front-face, but the hands will be moving CCW when looking at the back-face of the clock.Originally posted by scratchrobot View PostYes good question, I was asking myself the same.
Do the lower coils have to be wound clockwise and the upper coils counterclockwise or all coils CW or CCW ?
If you see a north pole from a coil's CW face, then you'll also see a north pole from the coil's CCW face, if the polarity of the battery is reversed. Everything is relative. I hope I got this right.

Hello SkyWatcherOriginally posted by SkyWatcher View PostHi folks, very nice setup so far toranarod. When will you be firing it up for first tests and tuning, etc.
Hi blackchisel, looks like you've some good materials there for a good setup.
Everyone, keep the faith, anything is possible and I mean that literally, ANYTHING.
Though In my case, I look to see good things for humanity and the world and this device when self running does not just take, like our societal systems, it not only takes what it needs from nature, it gives back even more.
This is the model and example for us all.
Take what you need and give as much and more as you can back.
Doubt serves no purpose, it is a waste of energy.
positive constructive focus is what I shall focus on.
Anyway, I'll be putting my setup back together today for the start of testing.

first thing fix the bearing. Then back to business.
I will present a complete building specification. It may help other with there building.
Good luck to you all

good questionOriginally posted by woopy View PostHi Rod
fantastic work
can't wait to your first results.
I am also in front of a running machine, and trying to undesrtand some very puzzling things.
For instance why . when the machine is spinning , with a load on the generative coils , i get some output on the 7 gen coil all together, and then if i disconnect for instance 3 of those coils (that is to say about 43 % of the generative power ) , i see only a very small decrease of the output power and almost nothing in the input power
The outer magnet are also very important why ??
Yep not so simple at all this machine, it is a real pitty that Romero quit,
Or at least if he faked it , as he sayd, he could explain how to do , so the replicators could find a good way to puuzzle for fun some scientist, before a good beer.
@ Lidmotor
Really interesting work. Always interesting and helping videos. Too good thanks
Bravo and good luck at all

putting the magnets on top of the coils does have a positive affect when you find the right combination.
my output when up by an extra 11.5 volts under load. to 31 volts after the capacitor.
but the extra force destroyed my little bearing.
I only have one drive coil at the present time.
so far all the results are as Romero predicted
extra Magnets for tunning. That works
The RPM is 1200 to 1300. That works
the knocking sound that disturbed the people next door. That works.
the OU? have not tried that yet as I was about to start down that road.
and my bearing jammed against the housing.
One other thing the washers on top of the coils. I found that works.
Don't know why. YET.
