    I've been thinking about this also. I was in the dollar shop the other day and I noticed they had that green styrofoam stuff florists use in different shapes. Had some cones and toroid in various sizes.

    As for winding it, the wax on the surface of the object should help hold the wire in place, might not need the super glue. Was considering throwing some polyurethane over the top of it after its wound.

    Here's where the candles come in.. Melt the wax. (you had cut the same shape out of your piece of paper as you cut out of your cardboard). Dip the paper in the wax, then drape around the cone you made earlier.

    When it sets, you can start winding your coil. Start by super glueing your wire to the cone base. Wind a few turns, then hold down with papery tape. Then superglue. Etc...... All the way to the top.

    When you've finished, heat it up somehow, oven, microwave, and the wax will melt. The paper should pull away from the coil.

    Haven't tested it... Should be able to re-use the coil.

    Alas

    Been busy, only I have managed to make a signal generator using a 'learn electronics' kit. 100hz to 20khz with 555 timer, which I have 4 replacements for, and an ic chip holder for easy replacing... Oh and I've got the missus winding a long single wind coil.

    cone with funnel very difficult to make tryed it quickly but have no spark because dont have 2n3055 yet.nothing to report.
    One thing is i think i got the angle wrong got a picture of it i will post tomorrow and a mug shot so you all now what i look like.
    Im hoping everone busy building or expermenting and nat was you ignition coil one with oil in it

    but this discharge phenomenon was, whether cool or warm to the touch, soft and gentle. It would not kill.

    in the two pages we have the anwser to our dreams no need for the ev gray tube

    The normal heavy charge carriers, electrons, could not travel as quickly as the radiant pulse itself. Choked in the metallic lattice of the coil.

    BINGO!!!!!!!

    Don't stick your hand in the stream coming off the end of the coil. If there is one. It'll be contaminated with electrons, and I quite enjoy having these talks :-)

    i dont think it could be water as it would have evaporated by now....it must be something else.....am now wondering if the dielectric in the ignition coil vapourised

    Hey Nat, put a little statue there. If it starts sweating you can have many people coming to visit the wonders. Get enough money from entrance to the wonder to pay for all your future research!

    Hmmmm, interesting - In my Afrikaans language "Nat" means WET as in water dripping.

    Me? Quiet because I am doing serious internet time on getting small snipletts of info about some strange things.
