Thanks Markoul for uploading that image from video!...I can not do it from where I am now...

The higher density ferrofluid like seen on video does not allow magnetic field to fully expand in space, freely...as it happens in ferrocells...where liquid is so compressed that acts as a gas...besides density levels are much lower.
In this highly concentrated ferrofluid(like on video I have shown)...magnetic field is like enclosed within a latex film...that only allows certain extent into space.


When field is surrounded by loose iron filings...field is "arrested" in chainlinks...but mainly...we cannot see its true 3D shape freely expanded into space without any kind of constraints/restrictions

Is very hard to find videos where center of magnet is observed on this fluid...most people like the SPIKES that ONLY take place at poles.

Note that at center of magnet...there are NOT ONE SINGLE SPIKE...BUT A VERY SMOOTH, FLAT SURFACE...NOT ANY "INFLATED SPHERICAL SHAPED VOLUME" either...like iron filings do...

NOTE ALSO that this Center-Flat-Smooth Belt-like develops UNDER SPIKE-POLES VOLUME LEVELS.

It would be very interesting to make a video of a WHOLE magnet within a ferrofluid...with lower density (lower concentration of ferrofluid)...in order that light could go through...and/or be observed at simple eye/camera view...

Not only you disproved your double hemisphere you also made the iron filing magnetic field model more correct..

The video depicted the "bubble shaped" flux..
How?..

On iron filings you would have friction on the surface that would stop it from getting pulled nearer the magnet, since its in fluid form it can easily be attracted and will stick to the magnet..
Once its done that it will equalize on its surface forming now the aura like ferro fluid.. the shape of the magnetic field ia now that of the magnet, and since the whole fluid is saturated with magnetic flux. You still see some spikes.

I say keep adding more ferrofluid, it might finally reveal itself.

I'm betting the magnetic field it would look like a giant aura that is the same shape of the magnet. Because of the ferrofluid.

sorry but you are missing critical information making you to come to false conclusions.

Go and read about superparamgnetism and its difference from ferromagnetism and then come back to me.

Also thin film ferrofluid encapsulated in the ferrocell is different from plain bulk ferrofluid also strong Van der Waals in the encapsulated thin film fluid in the ferrocell play major role on its behavior.

a particles momentum or its position but not both.

Hello All,

Iron Filings randomly sprinkled...predicts what magnetic fields look like with same "scientific" accuracy as a Gypsy predicts our "future" by sprinkling randomly some small, colorful stones or seashells on a table...that simple.

Iron Filings, loose around a FERROMAGNETIC core, Magnet...etc,etc...BECOMES EXACTLY AS AN EXTERNAL PART OF THAT MAGNETIZED CORE.

but I do understand what you mean. It made even worse..

it seems now you're saying that the Area where the "Flux" is, is not the "Magnetic Field".. your saying because the iron has higher permeability than the surrounding air the "Magnetic Field" would maintains it's geometry even though the "Flux" was already guided by the filings?..

is it not the flux lines the constituents of a "Magnetic Field"..
is it not the "Magnetic Field" the region of space where the "Magnetic Flux" are?..

I infer that the "Magnetic Field" now is the same of that Iron bar.

The Iron filings (since they're small) and sprinkled on a "Plane" really depicts a 2D version of the magnetic fields.. but would show a glimpse of what the magnetic field looks like..
