    I'm sure Stiffler was not the first to make the captret, i've heard of Tesla using 3 plate capacitor and some advanced Physics books have questions that deal with 3 plate capacitors.


    Its not a matter of whom made it first, but a matter of that Stiffler mocked me and the captret idea and then goes on to use it in a video. He said that the Captret was nothing special and that no "self charging" was happening, but yet in his latest video's he shows a 12 volt battery starting to climb and you can clearly see a Captret or what ever he wants to call it. So if it not anything special then why is the battery charging? If it was nothing special why did he revisit it after 2 years, weeks after i posted a thread on the topic.

    I've never heard of Stiffler before i made the captret thread. I was one day playing with capacitors and decided to see if the the case holds a charge and one thing lead to another.

    What Makes the captret different than Stifflers is its simplicity. No SEC exciter needed, no complex circuits or components. The Captret is for the average joe, a man who can't afford a expensive lab with new never before seen transistors. The Captret give anyone a chance to explore and think, that is what makes the Captret special.

    Stiffler needs to learn that he's not the most important person in the world, and if he keeps that attitude then he is most surely to not get anywhere.

    Cool vid. I read somewhere that water has a memory effect, and that you can get strange results when you submerge a speaker coil (carefully removed from an old speaker) into a glass of water and play music or tones into the water.

    Hope no one tries to discharge a capacitor into aluminium foil sitting in a container of water or...

    For those that are experiencing the self charging effect with your batteries I think there might be a simple explanation as to why its happening. Well i wouldn't call it a simple explanation but I'll give a simple demonstration. The explanation or demo is simple but as to why is not so simple.

    I'll post a video as to what i mean. I've been running a test since October and many of you might be surprised as to what is happening.

    - It is possible to parallel more series strings of capacitors to increase current output.
    - The operator does NOT have to provide ANY input power so the COP=infinite.
    - This method of constructing a free energy device is time consuming, cost a lot
    of money, and because of that, never will be a practical way of powering loads.

    But it is fun to see a true negative resistor at work. :-)

    You are not understanding why this self charge is there. It is the very reason why the cap is polarized in the first place. Here is a quote.

    "Nineteenth and early twentieth century electrolytic capacitors bore little resemblance to modern types, their construction being more along the lines of a car battery. The borax electrolyte solution had to be periodically topped up with distilled water, again reminiscent of a lead acid battery."

    I would say that they do in fact bear quite the resemblance of todays electrolytic's. It is the reason why we are seeing this charging effect. If left alone they gently create this polarization.

    If we use the cap much like we have been using them they can even add their charge to the batteries voltage and slowly charge up the battery, over a few days period. The interesting thing is when we use them without both leads shorted. It allows us to tap the potential of the battery without drawing a heavy current. It does this by establishing a parallel flow that is sucked along this polarization of the cap. This is why we are using the caps as the source for our experiments.

    If you want to see this effect all you have to do is hook it to a battery to provide the potential and strengthen it's flow. After connection of the battery just measure between the case and each terminal and you will see the potential difference that we are utilizing between each plate of the cap. The plus will be very strong and the negative plate will be much weaker and have changed it's polarity to (+). If we then connect the load across this potential difference of each plate we can get a flow much like in the Tesla switch between two like potentials (+). This flow is circular in nature and it is driven by the potential difference of the two plates. When a flow gets created it is between the two plates and the load only. The problem here is when the solution gets boiled away it looses it's ability to hold the difference of potential between the two plates.

    What is very interesting to watch over time is that the negative plate gains strength and can maintain or gain strength over time because the polarization of the negative plate to the electrolytic solution becomes weaker. This is what we observe as the dimming of the load happens. This process is damaging to the structure of the cap though. It also changes the dynamics of the forces present in the cap as well. Instead of it holding itself in place by holding the charge it now repels each plate. Since there is no where for it to go the forces cause a sliding of the plates axially and eventually breaking the pressure relief marks on the can or bulging the rubber stopper where the leads are inserted. The amount of bulging totally depends on the strength of the energy from the source. Since we use dead batteries mostly the charge or power of the source is near nil but as the pressure increases it will end in destruction of the capacitor because we are not using them in the way they were designed to work. That is a simple fix though. Making a custom capacitor is the only way we are gonna get around this.

    Now if we need to use a potential to kick start the process then thats what has to happen. In most cases this is where you get to use the potential without a price. I would like to say again "in most cases". As I have been experimenting with the "Captret" and the Jewel thief circuit I was getting excellent results. I think I was missing some diodes in between the captret and JT. This causes a current to flow because it was drawing more then the captret could separate or keep that separated from the current. Given enough pull from the load the Captret fails and more current flows in a normal manner. I think if we started to look at the very old electrolytic style of using borax as the electrolytic solution that it just might sustain itself for a longer period. We could design them to be very much like a battery, with good maintenance it would be a very tough solution to the problem.

    We would have one battery and one huge "captret" or bank of "captrets". In using the Jewel thief we gain a boost of voltage of what the captret provides. I have not checked at the amount of current it draws since I blew my fuse in my dmm... I'm getting a new fuse... At the moment I think we need to concentrate on the "Captret" portion and start designing a way to mirror the electrolytic with the design improvements we need to make it safer.

    So far i can say that the captret works well with a bilfilar coil and the back emf will light a LED too.

    I am having a problem making the pulsed motor, it seems i can't get it to move a rotor. The coil can move a compass but the magnet rotors don't work. Any advice will be nice, like how to make a plain simple pulsed motor.

    The problem with the captret is all the things you can do with it, I still want to make a joule thief captret like Automans and all the other things other people are doing.



    I would also like to say that "haters" are welcomed. Any Advice is welcomed too. And Dr.Stiffler can come in and comment. All that i ask is that people leave constructive comments, comments that help the greater good.

    And do I believe the captret is overunity/free energy? Depends, but what i do know is that its not the first overunity/free energy device so Lets share ideas so that we can build a better future.
    Try making a Bedini type window motor that does not use an iron core. Coil cores are lossy most of the time and you will have to overcome the attraction of the magnet to the core with power. The window motor does not suffer with this and unlike core coil pulse motors, the stronger the magnets, the better the push without increasing input current. You can also recover more energy back to the captret using the half bridge circuit. I would go for the half bridge triggered by a hall or reed switch and use just one power winding. Good luck.

    It would have been better to use them in the normal captret style. I bet it would have been very very powerful. I know that 8 parallel captrets powered 5 leds very brightly. Until I blew my leds. That was on my dead 12v battery at 9.2 volts.

    I can not imagine what kind of real power you could have gotten from 100 caps in parallel. The normal style is to connect the neg to the case and the positive to the positive of the battery. Then put your load across the positive of the cap and neg of the cap.

    Also with a good jewel thief you can get a lot more out of it. It seems the negative of the cap slip streams power off of the very small leakage current that the caps have between the case and positive. It seems the flow is from positive to negative and creates a vacuum going in that direction.

    I'm researching the capacitor self charge effect and I did get exactly
    the result I predicted for this setup, approx. 1,8 Volt of self charge.

    No need to remove any plastic from the capacitors since I have soldered
    a new wire to the aluminum can at the top of the capacitor. I have
    posted a detail description on the setup earlier in this thread.

    My goal with this research is to see if I can get any useful energy
    out of the capacitors for free.
