hmmm... ok, it sounds like the power windings aren't connected. By shorting the emitter and collector you are bypassing the transistor and so it should give you the same result as just connecting the coil to the battery.Originally posted by lost66 View Postnothing happens when i short casing 2 any 1 of the pins
Try disconnecting the fan from the battery and measure the resistance between the wire that is normally connected to the primary battery's positive and the collector on the transistor...
It should be around 1 ohm.

So there is no reaction from the fan when you short the base and collector? if so then sounds like the transistor may be fried... i wish i can say, i did. but i did not take 2 much notice when i took it apart. but i do beleve it would have been like that @ some time (i tryed all options but the best i got out of it, was it rocked from side to side) i will have to try it again as u have it there.
