The code and the comments to not match (but You probably figured that by now). They create a false impression of something that actually newer happens in reality!
To make it even worse, the code did produce the seeminly expected action, only the wrong way!

How I know?

Well, as soon as i tried to implement the gradual load increase on startup it bursted right in my sorry face!

I mixed it up!

Now afer hours of tedious afterthought and study, then again careful software engineering and development and yet again many hours of ever most profound reconsideration, I bring to You the last but not least:

3 battery switch

I was playing with my 3 battery switch tonight.
Normally it out puts about 10v when powering small cpu fan or lights.
Then I thought I would see if it would power my solidstate bedini charger.
And it did supply power for it 16.5v and 1 amp charging another battery.

So i'm charging batteries with the 3 battery switch
powering my ss bedini chargering a battery.
All batteries are lead acid car batteries.

Well thought it was interesting and I would tell the forum.

Still working on my mechanical 4 battery switch.

well on 3 fully charge batteries on 3 battery swith It only does 14.5v 1amp on ss bedini charger

New AVR frimware utilizing interrupts in C

Surprisingly, the model is vaild in LTspice (works)

This means:
bipolar switch bridge ("totem pole") would allow for really huge voltages without copper.

The 555 based voltage double works too (=doubles) for up to 200mA sourcing and up to 90ma providing (double).

I like that Cockcroft-Walton_generator and the voltage multipliers shown there. That's an interesting and seemingly better way to step up voltage. Is there a reason this does not replace transformers in more circuits? I'm guessing it's more efficient and possilby cheaper to build especially with copper prices being up so high in the last couple years?

Not that You interested, but it was fryday today.
Luckily i bought double quotes so it won't be buydey today nor tomorrow


The outcome:
1. one ATmega48 Quer is fried (dead)
2. The 7812 and/or 7805 seems to be dead too
3. the 555-CP survived luckily

I have a spare 07301 and spares for the LM78xx parts

Don't know what the voltage is on one of those, I think he said 7.2, but I have a small 14.4V 3Amp hour battery and it will swing 10 V to the downside on a HV pulse. Perhaps JBs findings, reports, and discussions were related to mostly the NiMH batteries with the "negative" spikes? My NiCD and LABs swing (max 2V to the downside), but not nearly what the NiMH will do. The upward swing after the downward on the NiCD and LABs is ~+4V, where with the NIMH, it goes to -3 then 0. No upward spike on the NiMH...

This is all, of course, with a HV low current pulse, and not with a 2X Voltage and high current pulse.

I have given many, many thoughts,
but I still seek a "tool" so I could possibly delve into exploring it, bu this time- "equipped right way" and "from the start up"

so far this CP I've built (thanks to SeaMonkey ) has show some extra properties that my digital scope fails to catch ( this is rather good ).

I get a sharp rise of 50% the total amount in sub 1usec (~5A) and therefrom i get a ~20usec "hump" ramping up to the rest (~9A) of the peak.

(o-scope shots in due time )

I wonder:
A. What the "vertical" indicates
B. what the "slope" indicates
