    • If you are going to tell people tp build something simple don\t give them Brandt\s motor, give them this. They can collect the coil collapse and would be able to afford the price tag. I guess you think people are rich. Food is about to crash the economy not to mention what oil can do.

See Bob Teal not Ronald Brandt for all beginners. Lindemann pointed him out.

      • Tesla taught us to balance our rotors. Everyone can afford springs and tiny bearings then place a router overhead.

Like I said, go read the Use for the Tesla Switch thread. Not just ONE replication. Not just two or three or four. MANY people got it working. Have you READ it? No. And yet you need "proof of concept." Lots of the YouTube videos people posted are STILL active. The circuits still exist. You want it handed to you on a plate. Read the thread and your plate will be full. Or don't.

And I wouldn't recommend building motors AT ALL, unless it is for the mechanical Tesla Switch.

Here is a video of ONE of the people I know for certain got the full version working because I followed along with his work on the forum at the time. He has a whole series of videos on the Tesla Switch from beginning to end. This first video is just basic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAUxDv-rzS0&t=4s Just a 3 battery switch charging the batteries.

EDIT: Oops!! Wrong guy! I sat and watched all his videos today. He has his OWN version of the 3 battery switch, and he never DID build the Tesla Switch that I saw, even though he labels his videos "Tesla Switch". I was thinking of someone else

          • Well here in SC it's 7 am. Nice and peaceful, very quiet. Coffee is good. My world or corner of it, is nice.

Hob Nilre has good videos there, can't hardly understand his speech but ok. Noticed his multifilar coil as a transformer. The fast switching and scope readings.

I'm laboring hard to learn how to use the oscilloscope that has been in my shop for 12 years covered by how many piles of experiments, wasted parts, forgotten test, motor and old old generator parts!! The oscilloscope is difficult yes, I'll learn. But this scrapyard is my fond memories and trophies that prove I AM trying !!!!

The transistors suppose to come in today. USPS doesn't run on Sundays so will be tomorrow I'm sure. Charging one of my 4 marine batteries for the 4 Battery Switch setup with a Imhotep cpu fan pulse charger. It desulfates the batteries very well.

Will think over how I'm going to build this setup and start replicating the transformer until these "dog days of August" humid hot days drives me back to the central AC. I do have a new coil of 24 awg to use for winding this transformer. I've also several large 3" diameter coils. One is ( 12) multifilar wires. You said it, I've done some strange test in my shop!!

David David still on a witch hunt for heretics and unbelievers. Then you can burn them to the stake. I was there when the thread was in progress. No more worthless dead ends. WHere is everyone? You still don't know.

Good for you wanto. Hook a transistor radio up to the speakers and have fun watching multiple signals overlap. Hook it to the cord on your blender and watch the Nosie. Hook stuff up to it that is less than 700v and get use to the patterns. Start with a 10X probe setting, then switch to 1X

                  • Yes. Ok then. Got the transistors in yesterday. So got those parts of the setup. Now the transformer rewinding or see what is inside the two junk microwaves beside my shop. Don't want to rewind a transformer. Really easy and faster to connect parts that are ready to be used.

My daughter does coding well so the Arduino will be ready to use.

                    • Took one transformer out of a larger microwave today and ok. It's not a split primary.

But found a larger transformer in door of my shop that has a split primary coil on it. No secondary coil.
Question: One side of the split reads 1.2 ohms. The other 0.2 or 0.3 ohms. Will this difference matter? Will these readings change as this core cools down? It was setting in the sun. Stupid question I guess.

I've not seen or heard the required ohms in the primary or secondary of the transformer. I'm thinking since we are stepping up the voltage coming out of the transformer, that the splits ohms would be lower than the secondary winding.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Wouldn't be first or last time for me.

I always thought a ups transformer was quick and easy. Often they are a double secondary with a thick short wrap. Did well in the thread, remember?
