    Can you guys with an existing set-up try burning an emulsion of vegetable oil in water - or sugar solution ?

    If the theory of putting oil fires out with water holds true - you should get some impressive energy out of it.

    I used to follow this thread for some time. Now I came back and see aditional 40 pages.

    I wonder if anyone can make summary of the best achievements from that VW BUG with plasma spark and water vapour, what were the best mileage increase achivemnts so far obtained here ?

    That depends on what else you are doing. If you just need a better combustion of the gasoline, no such treatment is needed. Even if you use steam injection along with the plasma spark, I doubt you would need such a treatment. If you ran your engine on pure hho or steam without any gasoline, then yes.

    Plasma igniter for internal combustion engine - Patent 4122816
    This setup works very well and is of the type I have used in the past using an SCR as a switch for the current carrying voltage which also acts as a rectifier to DC.

    The plug is a little more difficult to make in a size that would fit an engine, if the three electrode version was to be used. The two electrode version would be easier and a standard plug could be adapted, but the 30Kv cap bank might be a problem in this case.

    UPDATE - S1r9a9m9 has now also posted a photo showing the silver cup that appeared in his YouTube video of the 18 hp engine running on water, and also shows what was inside the cup. You will see this photo, and a close-up of the photo, plus a new pdf file in which s1r9a9m9 explains the step-up transformer coil that was in the silver cup. See them here:

    Note that s1r9a9m9 says the inverter isn't needed, and that in fact it can not even be used with the transformer setup. It looks like s1r is finally going to show us the missing pieces (or at least some of them), and that is great.

    I hope this information spurs some additional experimentation and modification of the circuitry. I have been watching this thread with interest, and you have all been making excellent contributions to the effort. Keep up the great work!

    using off the shelf CDI?

    Has anyone used an off the shelf CDI and simply add a diode from coil
    primary to high voltage? It would be the same as the single cap plasma
    circuit and should work fine. Most would have about a 4uf cap at 400v.
    That is the most common I've seen - at least in that range.

    I have a few CDI's but haven't tried that yet but if it works the same,
    would be the easiest for anyone to do without having to build a circuit.

    A booster cap system could be added at anytime later in parallel with the
    plug.
