Hi folks, meant to reply to this before also, though couldn't find the post from turion, thanks for posting it luther.
Quote from turion:
So, tried two 12volt-7ah SLA in series, for 24 volt input, as primaries, then a 1.5 farad-12 volt (20v peak) car audio capacitor.
Used a 10 ohm-10 watt resistor inline, instead of motor.
Manually alternated charging capacitor from primaries, then disconnected capacitor for primary and dumped cap directly across a single 12volt-7ah SLA.
Resistor heated up quickly with capacitor dumping around 14-15 volts and dropping to 13 or so volts and back up.
Would imagine another resistor could be placed inline for the capacitor dump to take advantage of that also.
Guess good way to see how efficient this is, is keep swapping single battery being charged by capacitor dump and see how many will charge or a parallel 12 volt bank.
Probably nothing new, though not sure i have tested this in this particular way, by a complete disconnection for the capacitor dump.
If i am comprehending you turion, i see it, i think, at least with this simpler idea.
Need a relay for the cap dump/cap charge switching.
peace love light
