    Tuned Query

    When I said the IKEA didn't need to be tuned, I meant it didn't need to be sanded to be tuned that way. It can be electronically tuned in lieu of sanding it to tune it. The tubes need to be tuned to resonate at 50 Hz in EU & 60 Hz in USA. The tubes are connected to direct current while the ring or plate is connected to neutral.

    All the data you seek is covered in this thread.

    P.S.: Unless you have a way to tune the IKEA electronically, it might not be the right device for you to replicate. The beer can device would probably be a much better place to start. It's tuned by sanding the can until it resonates at the required frequency.

So, it is probably the better design to use if you know how to tune something like that automatically. That information is proprietary and has not been shared here.

    Can you link that IKEA bottle ? or maybe give model number .. I have IKEA here.

    But principle of operation is kind of confusing : So metal rink can really self resonate at 400 hz ? and container also according to prof.Savic has to resonate at 50 hz? or thats just consequence of AC 50 hz current

    The last two pages are dealing with the IKEA device which is an off shoot of the original Serbian device.     I have been taking some time off lately, mind not so clear and working poorly but I will have a bit of time over the Christmas period to study this sonic boiler and I will see if I can help.

    Sorry, folks. I've got this wrong. I read degrees F when you said degrees K,
    which is fine since we are looking at a temperature difference, and effectively
    degrees Kelvin and degrees Centigrade amount to the same thing.

    I thought you were mixing European and American units by using litres
    with degrees Fahrenheit, (which could be done if you work out what
    your rather peculair specific heat is going to be).

    I think many mix understanding into that 10 Wh must be 10W running for one h, that is of course 10 Wh also.
    Still if I have more load I can use my 10 Wh in any length of time.
    In my case I connect 1kW or 1000W for 5 minutes, that will be = 1000/60 = 16,6 Wh consumed every minute in 5 minutes. So total consumption = 16,6 x 5 = 83Wh

    Appreciating both of your compliments about my drawing skills, I do have to say it is not that hard, It's more about having the right tools (software) in this case. I Use Rhino 3D for this kind of fast "sketching"
