Has anyone here read Morals and Dogma by Albert Pike or other "longhand" Masonic information that is available to anyone? There is quite a bit that is detailed that is not mentioned in many other places. Just curious and just fyi...

Funny you should mention Albert Pike's magnum opus--I've read through about a third to half of the front and skimmed to the back. To anyone contemplating going through this work, be warned that Mr. Pike (if he is the one who truly wrote the entire thing) had a serious case of verbal diarrhea. Not to mention the overblown metaphors that he tortured until they lay dead and bleeding. However, there are some real gems buried in the manure; you just have to be persistent while wading through the crap.

I would seriously suggest keeping notes while going through it because it's very easy to lose the good stuff when reading through it. There are some images in there as well (especially near the back) that deserve some deep scrutiny. If there's any interest, I'll start a thread with what little I have in my notes to serve as jumping off point for more serious study.

There has been some recent activity in the vicinity of the Sphinx and the Great Pyramid at Giza. Apparently Zahi Hawass has agreed to allow a moto-cross competition, sponsored by the energy drink Red Bull, at Giza at the foot of the Sphinx! Has he lost his mind, given his history of jealously protecting Egypt's historic sites and cultural identity? Maybe he has a grandson who loves to race his motorcycle? However, I don't recall any motocross tracks that I know of having a 24foot by 24foot by 40foot deep shaft dug right in the middle of them! A new racetrack feature? I'm skeptical.

In any case, there's quite a lot of activity going on at Giza right now, and lots of rumors swirling around. If my thesis is correct, eventually the high point of the career of Zahi Hawass will be reached when he introduces to the world the discovery of the tomb of Khufu, complete with 5000-year-old mummified corpse. This "Khufu" will in fact be King Menes, the founder of Egypt's dynasties, also known as Osiris or Narmer, or in Mesopotamia as King Enmerkar or Nimrod.

Yes, my copy weighs probably 5 pounds or more.

The Illustrated History of Freemasonry by Moses Redding is also a good one.

Most cities/towns have multiple lodges and there is usually one that has
a library. If you have a friend that is a Mason, they can check out anything
and let you read it.

Anything in longhand (written out) is actually not secret - most people
don't know that. If it is written, anyone is allowed to see it - not that these
works will be spread out for the public, but they are available.

Osiris and misc...

I just read Richie's post about Osiris in his new thread. I was thinking
there was 13 parts the body was cut into according to the story and
that is why I asked, but it was 14 as he showed, but it was 13 that was
supposed to be found by Isis. Been a while since I looked into that.

I like to see Ophiuchus included in Astrology - right between Scorpio and
Sagittarius. It's the healer and occupies the shortest window of the
13 constellations from my recollection.

There is also a 13th star/ zodiac sign called Ophiuchus. Of the 13 zodiacal constellations (constellations that contain the Sun during the course of the year), Ophiuchus is the only one not counted as an astrological sign. Ophiuchus is depicted as a man grasping a serpent. Ophiuchus is one of the 88 constellations and was also one of the 48 listed by Ptolemy. Ophiuchus was formerly referred to as Serpentarius, the former originating in Greek and the latter in Latin, both meaning "serpent-holder".

Check out pages 19-20, I think it's quite interesting piece of the puzzle because Hawaii is around the area where Mu was said to have resided..

It's also always the same story with these elder tribes, like with the Dogon in Africa for example (also introduced in Magical Egypt series). First you have to prove yourself with some tests before you're allowed inside..

I think it's interesting to see similar stories popping out at different places around the globe (still remember the Monks levitating stones described earlier in this thread?). It makes you think maybe some of the knowledge is still out there in one form or another..?

Can I just add that Orion ,and Osiris were considered the same, and I will start a new thread on what I think Osiris was.

I think we have reached agreement that the Great Pyramid at Giza - is a lot older than most people think.
I have researched this myself, and came across "the girdle stones".
These are freestanding stones - within slots - that have been neatly carved through. These are higher up than the known blocking stones, and I believe this shows a re-working of the pyramid in the past.
I believe they were blocking stones originally, but after the Egyptians successfully lifted the outer 3, they simply chisseled through the rest to save time.

The Queens chamber looks like it was remodelled too - because of the "star shafts" suddenly changing direction, and the inner facing blocks could easily be transported in through the passageway.

The "escape shaft" for the builders sealed inside is just nonsense.
If that was the case - where did all the spoil go ? & how long till they died of starvation ?
It makes more sense that the original people to first dig their way into the pyramid - started as high up as they dared - then went straight up - shoving all the spoil in the lower pit. Once inside - they probably were the ones to figure out where the main entrance was & dig from both ends. It would be the only way out for the larger tems.

My opinion the age of the Great Pyramid of Giza is 68,973; and took approximately 700 years to construct.
