@Lightworker: I just studied the FET doc again and it seems to be a very old one. They mention a very fast op amp ca3103 being obsolete now.
You realize the intial kick needs to be done by one stage - the others will follow. Current integrated FET drivers contain the initial kick driver along two FETs as gate driver. If you spend money take those current FET drivers and you will be happy.

The only controller I have as of now will only take Max 36V. And I am constrained just because of the LM317 Voltage Regulator...and still hoping (and praying too) not to blow its Amps limits of only 1.0 Amp...well, it is a self recuperating transistor...but will do get super hot...even though I have it on nice sinks and fan blowing right on top...
My 2397's FETS will take up to 400V and over 100A (I believe, not sure now...but somewhere there...may be 85A or so)
.......
EDIT 1: Wait!...I just realize I have a 48 Volts and over 100 Amps Controller...a Curtis Davis..I believe...so yes...as also a nice bank of Six Eight Volts Deep Cycle Batteries...However...I am very sure we will NOT need that much power...trust me.
1. 110 V AC voltage rectified gives DC voltage by multiplying 110V times square root of 2 (1.4141....) = 155.5V (Alternatively 220V times 1.41 = 310V)
2. Give me some time in order to test mains pulses on low voltage DC motors.
My calculation is: Instead supplying the motor with say 100A 50V 100% duty cycle I can apply 150V / 33.33A with 3.333% duty cycle. Same energy input but perhaps better output than DC pulsed by commutator only. It is very similar to step down slation by duty cycle change. And perhaps SHE likes that and gives some rebate like Dianne.
But don't mind I will do tests and will report. Now it is too early and I do not intend to deviate. We will experience the glory of 12-12-12 first.
@all: dropbox works fine for me. Lots of docs and pics from me in this thread are hosted at dropbox. Google drive is minor because the pdf online reading is low quality and the store / retrieve action is not handy at all.Last edited by JohnStone; 11-30-2012, 11:24 PM.Experts spend hours a day in order to question their doing while others stopped thinking feeling they were professionals.

Actually I saw the cad drawings and was trying to place in my mind how to wind something with so little room. Ha, ha ha. Machine I'm glad you saw that before UFO. You may have diverted a confrontation.
Thanks. I should go back and edit that but then this post wouldn't make any sense.
John Hav.
OMG. Still laughing.

The "Amateur" is NOT going to show any pictures of Him...Ok?
"He is undercover"...therefore "No Pics"

No Amateur Pictures...

Amateur says "No Pictures of Him"...all you guys will see are his hands...
Actually I saw the cad drawings and was trying to place in my mind how to wind something with so little room.
You are thinking that the poles have too little room...because you are going by the way brush-less motors are wound...and this type of winding is completely different...it uses the poles to grab between 5 to 7 poles, in what is called "Lap Winding"...or overlapping of coils..
However just by simple looking at it...My Asymmetric windings look pretty similar to lap windings...
Hope you understand what I meant...
Geez, no one dare to call me "Amateur" here so far, not even Farmhand...

Hello John,
Ok, I see what you mean...we will keep going on tomorrow...
Yes rebates like Dianne and not Sandy...she charges full MSRP...

Originally posted by Cornboy 555 View PostHello all, UFO asked if would post some previous builds, so here goes, Please dont laugh, or say i've got nothing better to do with my time and money as i am dead serious to try and bring forward tech that everyone needs.
The pics are of a 3-6-9 setup, 3 neos 3"dia 1" thick 140kg pull force each, on dual rotors, (why not use both N&S of coil) With the potential of 6 motor coils and 9 gen coils either end. This was just to try for charging batterys for std EV motor, hopefully FAST.
First used mechanical switching with direct contact with cams and ball bng's ETC then went to magnetic rotor for pulling contacts together for 30 deegree on time, to attract and then off at TDC or near to repell, even got to the stage of three mech contactors to switch coils, then path for collapse to cap bank, then switch to batteries.
Holy crap, what a freaking noise, needed ear protection to stay more than a min.
Beautiful sparks every where.
YA, can't have that in ya car.
So after that learning, came to conclusion, gota look at tiny crap that i don't understand. SOOO, (hope i'm not boring you) going on UFO's info on pulsing coils with two diodes i decided to try pulsing just one motor coil with 24V and hold rotor so didn't interfear and Presto my guess at 10 x 240V CFL's was correct!, had a light show till started to turn up pulse generator to nearly steady light and WTF happened, toasty bin, because i let the rotor go and the pm flicked past the coil, CRAP, D head.
GOD wish i knew what i was doing!!.
Have lots of other things to show and will because if you are a newbee you need to see.
All the best, cornboy.
Here ya go UFO.Last edited by Cornboy 555; 01-18-2013, 06:37 AM.

Very impressive motor performance
Watched a few replication tests. Dadhav's seemed to get twice the rpms per volt on the RS conversion, but the amp draw was significantly higher I think. So its not clear yet how much energy comes out of the generator circuit I guess? And that is cold electricity? Read a post where Mr. UFOP mentioned the problems of appliances being equipped to use the cold electricity & energy. And I haven't yet absorbed all the information by a long shot yet, but a generator getting rid of the CEMF there too is buildable with the same configuration principles I am gathering. Will it have a motor circuit too? so some kind of Sepik circuit with coils is expected to boost power? Is it planned that the radiant energy will just be fed into the drive battery for the prime mover motor? Batteries convert radiant energy well do they not? For sure the motors must be jumping from 30% efficient to 80-90% easy, no?, if the CEMF is truly gone.
I plan to get everything I can out of these and see if I can build something, hopefully this will go OU so I can run my power meter backward or survive off grid if it comes to that. Clock is ticking... I'd love to build an electric car too. Too bad I still have to work for a living. Trying to get some junked forklift motors or something before I buy a new motor.Up, Up and Away

When you take it to them (or e-mail it)...make sure they verify this measurements with either this file...or you telling them over the phone...in order that when they open CAD Formats to verify they are seeing the right dimensions (this programs have the measuring tools included) and this model was made at 1:1 Scale in Metric (millimeters)
You got there a pretty long Pole Arm...(55 mm), so you will be able to fit quite good size and length of Copper...
Also notice I reduce the Pole Arm width right by the end to one millimeter less (from 4.9 outer to 3.9 Inner) that will allow it to have less mass at center solid ring...and more at the end of poles...note each pole face is 12.0 mm...that makes a very strong mass weight at the outer surface of armature...enhancing the "hammering" effect...so get ready for the huge Impact this "Babe" will have...
In a future I will display why we need as much mass as possible in the outer area of armature/rotor...there are some weight/volume calculations that take place there...

I have not been able to access the Internet for about 4 weeks as there was a huge fire in the local telstra building.
Now I am connected again
For those wanting a good Drawing program that can open these drawing files try this free program it is a great Drawing program here
