    I found this book while cruising the internet Looking for info about ED. It is preview of the book. Scroll down to page 224.

    Recently Dr Stiffler posted an exciter coil setup set of videos. A coil, by itself aligned in a N/S configuration produces a resonant frequency. Not sure if it will in an E/W config or not. But ED sure like the N/S direction. On his tool board he has a very long single wrap coil. the bigger the coil the more power could possibly be harvested. Maybe enough could be collected at the right time of alignments to run a motor. Not related to the above book but interesting

    Hi erikbuch,

    Excellent, sounds like you are getting somewhere.

    Scope between the coil wires, or the collectors of the NPN and PNP transistors.

    Found a 25 volt cap, and now things are getting more interesting. Finished up the shield too, and it looks like that helped even more.
    Dumping 2 times pr sec.
    Im using 2 hi power led's and one 5.1 volt zener to trig the scr, Running at 21 rpm.
    When using a scope to see the "ringing", where would you put the probe and the ground clip? I guess between the coil coil wires, but the scope thing is new to me, so I thought I would ask professionals

    I would use a 25V cap when running at 12V, a 50V cap when running at 24V and a 75V cap when running at 36V. Then choose the size of the cap to dump 2 or 3 times per second.

    Try not to parallel the caps or you lose too much as no two caps are alike.

    I was running the hall sensor inverted over the main magnets, now I have made a kind of timing wheel with round magnets, and getting much better results. Maybe the puls from the hall was to short to make any power from the coils. Strange, the potential was there over the cap, but when dumping to the batteri it sort of disappeared.
    Ill just keep on fiddeling around with it, learning by doing

    Tried alot, from 16 v 2200uf, 35 volt 4700, 50 v 6800. They all work, or so it seems on the led's. Dumping faster or slower depending on size and if i parallell two of 1 kind. Bit still no increase in batt voltage. Running now at 12 volt, with 1 35 v 4700. If i measure at the katode on the scr i ser about 23 volts before the dump.

Cant really see what I'm doing wrong here, or if it is just my batteries kidding me around. The motorcycle batteries are brand new, but 1 of the big ones are not 100 %.

    Thanks Randy,
    That's a great idea. I had not thought about that. I just found two thin
    plates of round aluminum too. I was planing on using a thin cut dremel tool
    but would need to mount it sideways on the CNC machine and rotate the
    plate for each cut. That idea may save me some time.

    Very interesting thread. I have just finished reading it up to this point.

    Some day I may be able to try building one, but for now the weather has just gotten good enough to begin to work out in the garage again. So I will be starting my runs on my SSG for advancement.

    We just finished watching - re-watching re-watching....
    anyone trying to build the re-gauging part of this, this is the vid. it does not get into the ckt but it does not look like that much of a stretch. the big stuff is everything else. In a hundred years I would not have put 1 and 1 together to make 1100 here.

    Have you considered using 2 plates with the same size slot so that you can rotate one of them to get a narrower slot? The machine work would have to be quite accurate but it serve the purpose.
