    Physicists at the Russian Academy of Sciences are claiming to have created a form of diamond that superconducts. Vladimir Sidorov and colleagues say that their material, which they made by doping carbon with boron at high temperatures and pressures, exhibits bulk superconductivity below around 4 kelvin and remains a superconductor in strong magnetic fields (E A Ekimov et al. 2004 Nature 428 542).This is the first time that boron-doped diamond -- which is normally a semiconductor -- has shown superconducting behaviour.

    I think that super-conduction has to do with a certain shape. So, for instance migrating atoms, or leaving an empty part

    That was the original point of looking at superconductivity -- was with the intent to be able to build it. So, I've been looking a little bit at silicon recently, as that is very easily obtainable for me near the beach.

    Why is silicone interesting? Because we are made of carbon. Carbon is one half octave away from silicone.



    Silicon is used in all of our modern day transistors and microprocessors. Silicon is also an element which is quite common around the world. Powerme left a vauge process for refining beach sand into high purity silicon, but I think I understand it. Hooking up HHO torch soon, so I will try this method of refining.

    Carbon, is also the element which crystalizes into diamond -- the crystaline structure also becomming superconductive after doping with 3% boron. Boron comes just before carbon on Russell's table.

    So why does silicone become superconductive when doped with boron?



    Similarly, silicone carbide and aluminum become can also be superconducting. (you'll have to google it, I cant find it but read it earlier)

    What does this tell me? Look at russell's charts. We are playing very similar atomic chords when we are cooling the silicone to superconductivity.

    You know how you can play the same note on a piano, and shift one octave up? It sounds higher up, but you are still playing the same "note". I imagine that supeconductivity is a "note" that may be acheived in a vaiety of ways.

    With that, I would also like to point out that silcon, having a similar cubic crystal to carbon. I am curently wondering if the shape of the crystal being formed has a link to superconductivity.

    Can you elaborate a little more on M-state water and "quantum water"? I do not like to ask too many questions without sharing my understanding, to make sure we are on the same page.

    I am under the impression that water (the fractal antenna) briefly possesses a structure which induces very small windows of "superconductivity" near the center contracting axis of the vortex shape. I am under this impression that the magnets might "knock" the little superconductors out of position -- impregnating the water with a more electric property.

    This has at least been supported by my experience with using one of these simple devices.


    Seeing as how our nervous system would become more sensitized after consuming this type of water, I beleive that my body would give me a "good" response (the water tastes sweeter) when I drink it.

    It seems to make moss, and grass grow very vigorously (resilient to drought), and greener than the other, faucet-watered areas.

    MM, you post very rapidly. I would love to continue "thinking out loud" in an open group, but it takes a bit longer than I'd like to fully articulate my thoughts. I will reply when I can -- you have my full attention.

    STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL
    This device is greatly superior to the usual flat core type in efficiency and other respects. It consists of a thin polished metal tube acting as reflector and a base equipped with switch and connecting terminals and carrying spaced resistor wires concentric with the tube and at a certain distance from the inner surface of the same. In this arrangement the diffuse radiation is virtually eliminated, and the heater operates as if the resistor were not present, the rays being projected from the reflector radially to the central or focal region occupied by the boiling pot.
    The principal advantages thus secured are the following:
    1. A very high efficiency, as much as 96% being attainable.
    2. The efficiency is practically the same whether the pot is large or small since the density of the rays is inversely as the diameter of the vessel.
    3. Due to these features the current consumption is hardly more than half of that in the best heaters of the type referred to.
    4. The resistor has a relatively much longer life and can be made to last almost indefinitely in some cases. Also less wire can be used if desired.
    5. The heat being largely confined to the range, the kitchen remains comparatively cool.

    7. The-new heater is especially adapted for use on shipboard, Pullman cars, aerial vehicles and automobiles.
    8. Likewise, it is suitable for all kinds of service on the table, being free from the objections of the present type.
    9. It saves considerable time in certain applications.
    10. Owing to simplicity, the cost of manufacturing is low.

Copper or aluminum should fit the bill. In addition, I believe their HZ antenna has two coils wound in the same direction on the conductive, non-ferromagnetic core separated by a small gap. I've been planning on building my own version of this, but haven't had time this week due to work demands...

    Peculiar discoveries attend his researches. For one experiment, he placed a copper electrode in a flask through which high-frequency current was conducted to a liquid. The liquid vaporized and passed through a second flask into a graduate, where it condensed. A quantity of metallic copper collected at the bottom. No heat had been generated, yet somehow the metal was transmuted through vapor and condensed again. On another occasion, he distilled and treated a quantity of carbon tetrachloride, which ordinarily will not burn. Yet after bombarding it with ultra-short waves, it became highly inflammable. Why? Wilkinson cannot say.
    He went to work to find a motor fuel which could be created from fruits or vegetables. He treated decayed fruit with electricity, produced both alcohol and lubricants. Then he discovered that by adding products obtained from sour cottonseed oil to the alcohol, he had an efficient motor fuel. For good measure, among the byproducts was a material which looks, smells, and bounces like crude rubber. He submitted several pieces to a Los Angeles laboratory, and in a few days received a sheet of refined rubber.
    The electrode of lead is located in the solution, on or near the bottom of the tankl and is connected to the positive or negative pole of a source of direct electric eurrent (more likely pulsed ) and a copper wire mesh screen serves as the other electrode. The screen has suitable stiffening means and is electrically insulated from the treating tank and the lead plate, and is located above the spirally coiled pipe at approximately the contacting surfaces of the oil and the solution. When a source of direct current is connected to the electrode electrolysis of the solution is produced as will hereafter be more explicitly referred to.

    capacitance in the winding spacing makes sense , Im not sure about the coil you specified cant make it out.
    Look at the sphere's and how they are in relation to the coil, he evidently knew about the electric field, also notice his coil is vertical

    I have found that in every coil there exists a certain relation between its self-induction and capacity that permits a current of given frequency and potential to pass through it with no other opposition than that of ohmic resistance, or, in other words, as though it possessed no self-induction.
    Here Tesla is describing resonance as in the radio example. Given an arbitrary inductance and capacitance, there will be a specific frequency which cancels self-induction of the coil. However, then he goes on to describe winding a coil in such a way as to render external capacitors unnecessary. If the spacing of the turns is controlled properly to provide the required distributed capacitance, then no external capacitors are needed. Choosing the spacing between the turns to control the distributed capacitance is just as important as any other consideration. In all of the pictures from Colorado Springs it is obvious the spacing between the turns is carefully controlled.

    My opinion on the primary/secondary mass issue is that if the masses match, then there will be a balanced dielectric coupling between the primary and the secondary, maximizing transfer of energy to the secondary, but I have nothing to back that up with. I have just wound one pound (300 feet) of 20 AWG onto 6" PVC and will be getting some 10 AWG to use as the primary. I will probably run many strands of the 10 AWG together, to try to get a primary that weighs a pound.

    As far as the primary being 1/4 the length of the secondary, I have only heard Don Smith say this, and although it is possible he discovered something, it is also possible that he intentionally misspoke, knowing that anyone who read Tesla's patents would be familiar with the 1/4 wavelength and understand what he was really saying. Don Smith was also rumored to leave things out of each diagram and reverse diodes occasionally. He was trying to market and make money off his inventions and didn't want others to be able to easily steal them.
