super charger "bingo"

I made this stuff thanks to JT thread and what i have found there and
thanks to Sucahyos stingo making experience, i made a lot of measurements
and comparisons and i think that this stuff deserves to be named super
charger, but enough talks for now...Just make it and enjoy it !
For coil just use ordinary stingo coil, but since it is not stingo you can call it,
let say "bingo"...

Yes, i built it and i just finished my first cycle of charging 2 AA bateries
at 500 mAmps (output), with input of just 300 mAmps !
I could not achieve, as you already know that efficiency with stingo,
but since you are still much better in electronics than me i do not
take much credit for that achievement since it was mostly Edison manner
of doing stuffs, not Teslas one...

So, you Tesla, improve it, and make it even better for our all joy sake !

Charging big batteries i have 390 mA input and 240 mA output...
So for that range of charging also better efficiency...
Since i just made one bingo i do not know what efficiency we could
achieve with more bingos...
So far, so good !

What is also great advantage about this bingo is its simplicity,
just a few parts, and just a little time needed to make it, and
when you are finished no need for too much wires for making
connections between batteries and bingo !

I think we should explore the possibilities with more component though. I rarely do with stingo because we have to use at least two amp meter to tweak it.

Ok, i am anxious to see your results, cause on the example
of 2 AA battery charging i have approximately these results :

stingo single diode : 300 mA input - 240 mA output
stingo with FWBR : 300 mA input - 400 mA output
bingo : 300 mA input - 500 mA output

So, tell us your measurement results !

Hi Elias, input 12 V, output : i do not know (when i charge 1,2 V batteries) !

I just tested two bingos charging big 12 V batteries
and result is : 790 input , 480 mAmps output...
This result is better than stingo, better then 4 coil slayers big JT,
and of course much better than bedini ssg...

Sucahyo, do you recall : so far the best result was slayers 4 coil JT
900 input, 480 output, and comparing that best result two bingos spare
100 mAmps : 790/480 !

Now i think i gave the right name to this charger.

I never measured ohms on toroids, just wind it as much as you can,
that is all !

Hello, I done comparing. I only compare with single diode. I spent around $0.8 to buy two TIP32C and two TIP41C.

Here is exact circuit.


note that I replace 500K pot with 100K resistor on stingo.

I do not use the one I previously made. I use same brand new transistor, same coil, same output diode, same load, same source battery, to try to make the comparison fair.

Here is the toroid coil:


Result:
Input two nicad. output two nicad.

bingo:
without load at max output = 480mA.
consume up to 900mA with load
negative on positive : output max = 100mA at 430mA
negative on negative: output max = 170 mA at 520mA


stingo:
without load at max output = 390mA.
consume up to 280mA with load
negative on positive : output max = 70mA at 280mA
negative on negative: output max = 100 mA at 280mA,


The result of both circuit have very very close efficiency on max output. Notice that I compare the circuit only during max output. On stingo happen to be at lowest value of potentiometer, on bingo happen to be somewhere before max.


On normal use, like used in SSG, the efficiency is 25%. While connecting the negative of load to negative of source, often used in joule thief, the efficiency raise to around 35%.

Congratulation cikljamas, your circuit is good . Yours produce more output with similar efficiency . I have no doubt that it can combine to produce more, even if you combine it with stingo.

Wow, it is cheep, i must check out, but i think that one Tip 41 C is here 2 $,
and TIP 32 is not available at all...
So, you use different transistors, it must be why results are also different,
though the method of measuring is also different : i charge AA bateries
using 12 V as source, and you use AA bateries not only as charging but
as source batteries too...However, it is good to know what you got as result
comparing stingo/bingo that way too...

Yes, but you also replaced 10 K resistor with 1 K, and 500 K with 50 K
on bingo too...

I had problems with one of my TIP 2955 (different producer) when i tried
to test my second bingo, after i replaced with the TIP 2995 made by the
same producer that made TIP 3055 bingo started to work as it should...
So, if different producer can produce such problem what to expect of
different transistors...Soon i am going to receive my KSC 5027...Then
we ll see...

It could be very interesting if we combine bingo with stingo...
But do you have some concrete ideas about that and do you mean
that this combination would be better than combine of the same
kind (bingo with bingo / stingo with stingo) ???
