Posted a thread on my theory about a dielectric layer being the energy source in Meyer's system, which refers back to some earlier discussions in this thread:

Excellent resource lamare, thank you! A couple of paragraphs down in the same section as your previous quote states...

Because of the very slow rates of reaction, the chemical changes brought about by ultrasound have very little practical application. However, it has been found that ultrasonics have accelerated by a considerable extent those chemical changes initiated by other means.

    (emphases mine)
Which I believe answers my question from above pretty soundly. I'll have to take time and really digest this paper over the weekend, but from what I've seen it looks comprehensive and sound (pun intended ).

    Thanks again for the post!

Jack Blitz - Ultrasonics : Methods and Applications

    Page 143 (77 in pdf) :

    7.9 Chemical effects

One of the effects of cavitation in a liquid is the promotion of chemical reactions. This is caused by the electrolytic action brought about by the appearance of equal and opposite free electrical charges at opposite ends of the bubbles, the enormous local increases of pressure and temperature when the bubbles collabse, and the release of energy from the bubbles when resonating with the ultrasonic waves.
Ordinary tap-water electrolyses as a result of cavitation, and, if certain substances are dissolved in it, either oxidation or reduction may occur, depending on the nature of the dissolved substance.
This basically says you can electrolyse tap-water using acoustic resonance effects.

So the current not only causes ionisation, but those ionic species then become part of the current, which then as they are drawn to the electrodes can induce further ionisation. But drawing the initial current through the cell is inefficient, and very hit and miss.
FD and lamare... I have been enjoying your discussions and also learning quite a bit from them. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with all of us non-scientists!

Since I do not have the formal education to back up my observations from what may be happening in these cells, I would like to ask what you think of the possible acoustic effects that would occur if a cell was resonating in regards to the above quote.

I have studied acoustics as a 'lay-person' and have been very interested in these cells from that perspective as I have much personal experience with trying to AVOID many of these same effects which can be created naturally in differing acoustic environments, (ie. resonation, standing waves, null zones, etc.). I do find the interactions of sound waves fascinating in that they do exhibit or at least 'appear to display' the potential to amplify themselves given the proper environmental conditions.

Since the molecules in the water have a mass and hence would be effected by acoustics, wouldn't an acoustic wave generated from the 'resonating' pipes have the ability to create or at least enhance the above referenced process of ionization (ie molecular collisions and near misses)? EDIT: And also considering Avogadro's Hypothesis mentioned above, wouldn't this 'resonance' create enhanced effects in this situation.

I would be highly interested in your thoughts on this! I know that there are many different processes happening simultaneously within these type of cells, but this aspect has not yet been discussed yet, that I have seen (at least in this thread).

    Thanks!

I have a previous conversation with Freddy, after the 1st demo of his version 6...He also gave to me the old pwm and 9 pairs of 316L tubes, replica of his cell but mine are all 6 inches in height.

Sometimes he told me that the exact tuning is the key to speed up of decomposition reaction..following the Acoustic resonance principle.

"Acoustic resonance is the tendency of an acoustic system to absorb more energy when it is forced or driven at a frequency that matches one of its own natural frequencies of vibration (its resonance frequency) than it does at other frequencies."

The rest, he told me "You have to build pressure to the cell then connect directy to fuel rail"....simple like that...but he did not mention to anybody the inductor coil below the cell...we're talking more on the 42khz freq..I think he's referring to ultrasonic frequency...I guess his trying to apply the principle KODA in ultrasonic electrolysis

    Tuning

Nice video Freddy. What if the tubes are left untouched in water from the bottom so that they are not muted as if?
    I mean hanging.
    Thanks

You are indeed correct. I stand corrected This does not surprise me in the least. The tube tuning was when I saw that he had a good deal of Meyer's secrets down. To get rid of the electrolyte, he'll need some electronic adaptation.

    Resonance

Hi guys this is very interesting. It shows that resonance of tubes is the key maybe if one tune in harmony if more than two tubes would achieve same or better results. Would like Freddy to answer this.
    Thanks
