In one of my tests ,I had all my dc loads used up on bat 3, but wanted to add more. So I connected a 300 watt inverter and plugged a 5amp battery charger into it. The inverter wouldn't turn on. So I disconnected the other loads ,then the inverter came on and was putting 1 amp charge out to bat 2.

boguslaw, I tried hooking a modified car alt (pmg) with a pulley and belt but could only get 6-8 vdc. The pmg is very stiff though, so am working on a new pmg to connect direct.

You can just connect them shaft to shaft. There's this cool reusable mold-able material that every DIY'er should have imo called polymorph plastic.

I can confirm that the effect is there. The magic is indeed in the batteries.
I have tried the following this morning.
Drive battery a crappy 7 ah gel battery 12 V. Voltage about 12.3 without any load. So its not even full.
Connected the bat to the input of my one coil two transistor bike wheel SSG.
Connected the Positive from the output of the Bedini to the positive of the dead battery which sat at 3 v and could run absolutely nothing.
The negative from the dead battery goes to the positive of the drive battery. Feedback loop with the dead batt in between.
Set the Bedini to 2 pulses per magnet and 100 ma draw.
This setup ran for 2 hours without any voltage drop once the battery had settled.
THEN connected a small lamp across the dead battery- this lit up immediately and consumes between 450 mA max and 300 ma min. A 4 Volt lamp. Voltage on the driving battery CLIMBED.
total draw on the drive batt is now 550 mA. Voltage stays constant, sometimes rising slightly.
Total run time 3 hours now. This darn 7 ah Battery should be dead by now. Yet it keeps going on.
Will go on with the test until something happens.

AMAZING.

If you have a Bedini try it. But take care you have neons in there - in case the dead battery goes open circuit.

what you are seeing looks promising, although from what you describe you have simply hooked the bad batt to the output of the SG, not the SG as a load between the positive poles of the drive batt and batt 3, correct?

On another note, from experience batteries can seem to climb slowly for hours even under load and then start to definitely lower its voltage so, long runs are needed (a few days even).

but congrats, hope your drive batts keep holding steady!

Where did you look to find those $8 motors? Around here you can't even buy bad batteries, anymore. I agree brushed motors are best.

I don't want to discourage you from trying whatever you want to try, but I have never been able to get any positive results using other than a brushed DC motor. I really believe that is because it pulses the battery with voltage rather than hitting it with a continuous stream, and I think that is essential to this thing working. If you can figure out a way to achieve that same pulsing without using brushes, perhaps it will work. I don't know. I just hate to see you spend the money on something that may not work. If the motor doesn't work, you can always connect it to your generator to act as a load on THAT side and then get a brushed dc motor. The Razor scooter motors are $29.00 new and I got some from a junk yard for $8.00 each that look brand new.

I don't know where your specifically but most landfills in the US have dedicated metal pile for recycling. I find a dozen of these motors in the metal pile every spring. Most of them are attached to perfectly good toys, either scooter or ebike type setups. Most of them I put new batteries in a replace the broken parts. Then I give them away to Christmas toy drives or needy people with kids.

But alot the toys the motors come from are junk so I salvage the motors. Outside the brush's the motors and controllers are almost indestructible from the weather and such anyway.

A Car Alternator is designed

to produce enough amps at 600 rpms to run the car's electricial requirements. I think the alternator though is turning about three times that through the pulley sizes. If the motor has sufficent speed (600 rpms) and torque why wouldn't a 50 amp alt output 50 amps with full tension the belt.
Anyway I'm excited about this project and will get something started this week.

Look in the phone book for "Auto Recyclers" or "Auto Recycling" or "Used Auto Parts". You can find all kinds of used bad and good batteries there. Also you will find 12V fans there. If you have a friendly neighborhood garage, they might be able to help you. If you offer to pay them the "core" charge for the battery, they will provide you with a good source.

It's great to see you having success with this, even if you are using a different setup. Please post a schematic or at least a picture so others can take a look and replicate your results. I have several Bedini's of my own I could hook up, but would like to confirm how you have it wired first.

Btw. i found out, that a few from my bad Batteries only have not enough Water from it, else they work ok. So most of them are maybe not really bad Batteries.
Maybe you can make one easy when you add normal Water, but it for sure dont work for anything after that and dont do it, when you maybe miss this Batterie afterwards.
I think the real Business here is to make a Battery Repair Shop as to get this Thing running. j/k.

An update to Caldwell county in NC

Anything that makes it into the landfill is not available for average citizens to recycle. Here you can't even buy bad batteries. Insterstate Battieries?
It is possible this exists because the landfill is an regional one, it serves several counties. Interstate Batteries also has a large presence here.
I really do not want to put someone in a position to lose their job. Possibly some outlier centers have a more generous policy.
A few years ago people will pay you to haul off stuff and now you have to pay them.
That is why I asked what motors (car) will work with this setup as being on disability limits a lot of disposable income and very little is available from what was usually available.
