there is a lot of confusion about tesla and his work today mainly because of people making claims about what tesla supposedly believed and said when in fact the idea's they talk about are thir own & not tesla's

they use tesla's name to sell products to the gullible and easily lead. people like john bedini - tom bearden - Konstantin Meyl - peter lindemann and so on make claims that they know tesla's secrets and you can to if you buy thir products

claims like- scalar waves - free energy - anti gravity - super scalar weapons -
weather control - Ufo's

whan if fact tesla never believed such things so in this thread i hope to show you what tesla really said & believed by using his own words and articles

first up tesla's views on electricity & the supposedly called scalar waves

Thank you for starting this thread Aether84. While people have become more aware of Tesla and his achievments in recent years there have also been numerous myths created claiming that Tesla created or did a number of things during his life that are either exaggerations or lies, which has resulted in the development of a persona of Tesla being some sort of mystical electric super-god and as such he is now the symbol of surpressed science. Unfortunately a few individuals have taken advantage of this mythical persona to sell a few books or their cheesy wares, further clouding the truth of Tesla's work and life. An example of this is the book "Occult Ether Physics" by William Lyne. While some of what is written in the book is based on Tesla's work and other electrical pioneers the rest is merely the theories and interpretations of the author, such as the electromagnetic aircraft he claims is based upon Tesla's lectures from the 1890's. I also thought that Lyne was a bit crazy when he mentioned the time he was at a Japanese bath house and witnessed a UFO, which he claims he observed regularly in the area. Lyne then goes on to claim the reason why UFO's were seen in the area is that the occupants of the UFO's, which were made by the government, were using the UFO's to "perv" on the people at the bath house! Even the popular belief that Tesla lost funding for Wardenclyffe after Morgan realised that "You can't put a meter on it!" is also a myth:

My advice, which numerous people have suggested before, to those who want to learn more about Tesla and his work and know what they're reading isn't rubbish is to go and look for his original works and articles written about him during the time that he was alive before reading anything that was written after his death.

I think this book Gerry Vassilatos - Secrets of Cold War Technology is also mainly fiction, we should be using older reference material I agree.

i have read Occult Ether Physics" by William Lyne to and the guy does come a cross as a crack pot

he is another one who says a lot without demonstrating anything that works himself .if its as easy as he says why doesn't he build it himself?

hopefully i will have time to today to write my first article on scalar waves and how tesla never said that there was two different electrical waves one transverse(hertzen wave) & the other longitudinal(scalar waves or Magneto- Dielectric wave)

Do not be so quick to dispense with Lyne or Vassilatos, they are like the skeleton in the cave, a vestige of the lost explorer, who perished but his skeletal finger points the way out. As for Bearden/Corum, this is best dragged off by the rats and crows. Tesla said exactly what is required as a basis for his efforts. Something as simple as the "Extra Coil" is an Alice in Wonderland for the Engineer, but it seems just a simple coil. Over the years I have provided a basic engineering structure by which to engineer Tesla like systems, as he said they must operate. But verily my efforts have fallen the way of Heaviside. However I have given(you go read it!) every book, paper, lecture, & etc. from Tesla's era. Remember that Tesla stands as a monument to his era, with a solid foundation upon the efforts of his contemporaries. Tesla was a product of his time, so go back to it and learn.

Do Scalar Waves Exist?

the current conspiracy theorists john bedini tom bearden and so on tell this story

the current radio & power technology uses the hertzen transverse wave were tesla during his experiments trying to replicate heinrich hertz's discoverys discovered a new unknown wave form called a longitudinal wave all so called a scalar wave

and that the government has been hiding these waves from us for over a 100yrs because these new waves make it possible to get free energy & send power all over the world though the air without loss of energy like what happens with transverse waves

but is this really what tesla thought & did all that time ago?

tesla certainly said that in his system he was no producing radiations ie hertzen waves & that he disagreed with james clerk maxwell electro magnetic theory

so with tesla's own words we will find what he really thought about the nature of electrical waves

Tesla said the following in his article TRUE WIRELESS

Ever since the announcement of Maxwell's electro-magnetic theory scientific investigators all the world over had been bent on its experimental verification. They were convinced that it would be done and lived in an atmosphere of eager expectancy, unusually favorable to the reception of any evidence to this end. No wonder then that the publication of Dr. Heinrich Hertz's results caused a thrill as had scarcely ever been experienced before.

At that time I was in the midst of pressing work in connection with the commercial introduction of my system of power transmission, but, nevertheless, caught the fire of enthusiasm and fairly burned with desire to behold the miracle with my own eyes. Accordingly, as soon as I had freed myself of these imperative duties and resumed research work in my laboratory on Grand Street, New York, I began, parallel with high frequency alternators, the construction of several forms of apparatus with the object of exploring the field opened up by Dr. Hertz. Recognizing the limitations of the devices he had employed, I concentrated my attention on the production of a powerful induction coil but made no notable progress until a happy inspiration led me to the invention of the oscillation transformer.

In the latter part of 1891 I was already so far advanced in the development of this new principle that I had at my disposal means vastly superior to those of the German physicist. All my previous efforts with Rhumkorf coils had left me unconvinced, and in order to settle my doubts I went over the whole ground once more, very carefully, with these improved appliances. Similar phenomena were noted, greatly magnified in intensity, but they were susceptible of a different and more plausible explanation. I considered this so important that in 1892 I went to Bonn, Germany, to confer with Dr. Hertz in regard to my observations. He seemed disappointed to such a degree that I regretted my trip and parted from him sorrowfully.

During the succeeding years I made numerous experiments with the same object, but the results were uniformly negative. In 1900, however, after I had evolved a wireless transmitter which enabled me to obtain electro-magnetic activities of many millions of horse-power, I made a last desperate attempt to prove that the disturbances emanating from the oscillator were ether vibrations akin to those of light, but met again with utter failure. For more than eighteen years I have been reading treatises, reports of scientific transactions, and articles on Hertz-wave telegraphy, to keep myself informed, but they have always imprest me like works of fiction

The fascination of the electro-magnetic theory of light, advanced by Maxwell and subsequently experimentally investigated by Hertz, was so great that even now, although controverted, the scientific minds are under its sway. This theory supposed the existence of a medium which was solid, yet permitted bodies to pass through it without resistance; tenuous beyond conception, and yet, according to some, one thousand times denser than platinum. According to our conceptions of mechanical principles and ages of experience, such a medium was absolutely impossible. Nevertheless, light was considered essentially a phenomenon bound up in that kind of a medium; namely, one capable of transmitting transverse vibrations like a solid


so tesla thought that maxwell's soild aether theory was wrong. tesla's aether was a gas not a soild like maxwell's. in his article Tesla Sees Evidence Radio and Light Are Sound April 8, 1934

tesla tells us why- What, then, can light be if it is not a transverse vibration? That was the question he asked himself and set out to find the answer.

"I consider this extremely important,. said Mr. Tesla. "Light cannot be anything else but a longitudinal disturbance in the ether, involving alternate compressions and rarefactions. In other words, light can be nothing else than a sound wave in the ether..

This appears clearly, Mr. Tesla explained, if it is first realized that, there being no Maxwellian ether, there can be no transverse oscillation in the medium. Coming now to the wireless waves, it is still true that they are of the same character as light waves, only they are not transversal but longitudinal. As a matter of fact, radio transmitters emit nothing else but sound waves in the ether, and if the experts will realize this they will find it very much easier to explain the curious observations made in the application of these waves It being a fact that radio waves are essentially like sound waves in the air

so it becomes very clear what tesla believed he thought all electrical waves are longitudinal waves (radio light x-rays) he didn't believe transverse waves existed because tesla's Aether was a gas and only longitudinal waves can exist in a gaseous medium

maxwell Aether was a soild so maxwell believed only transverse wave can exist in the Aether so tesla disagreed with him

so there is no conspiracy about hidden waves tesla believed current radio & power technology are using longitudinal waves

"Secrets of Cold War Technology" was the first book I read on the subject after developing a deep interest in Nikola Tesla, and I don't think it is fiction at all. It provides a basic laymans understanding of Tesla's wireless system of transmission and the effects noted by Tesla due to his experiments on developing his devices. Tesla stated the Hertz waves aren't real, they don't exist in nature. I posted this article in Eric Dollard's thread, but here it is again.
