Our discussion here has revealed a few serious problems which call into question your claims.
      1. The most glaring is the most obvious: If your device actually gained energy, why is it not self rotating? Where does all that extra energy go when the power is removed? There can't be that much bearing friction and wind resistance to overcome.
      2. You suggest that the power be taken off the main shaft. Why haven't you simply attached a cheap alternator to the shaft and measured it's output? You have a pulley right on the shaft! Use a 24 volt model and you could run your drive motor and measure how much extra you have left over.
      3. Your math proves nothing. Do you know the difference between torque and horsepower? You calculate torque based on a no load situation, then compare it to input power. Apples and oranges my friend.
If you can't manage a generator, it's very simple to construct a Prony break which will give you a fairly accurate measurement of your actual power out.

After working on this concept for 28 years, it's hard to believe you built that whole device and didn't take some simple output power measurements. I see a pulley right on your main shaft for Pete's sake! Why are you withholding this information?
You immediately start whining about people pointing out legitimate errors in your statements, and asking perfectly reasonable questions (red flag). Yet, without answering anything you still want us to go to all the expense and trouble of building a replica just based on your opinion? I don't think so.
None of this adds up Chalkalis, and you know it. We are more than willing to extend the benefit of the doubt, and I think we have here, but we don't appreciate being played for fools.
What is your real reason for doing all of this?

His final words were, "There is something there, something that cannot be easily explained with conventional physics". Anyways, I believe that it is a great generator that would not reflect back to the prime mover for this gravity wheel.

        Jake,
Maybe you could start a new thread for that heins repro? nice writeup with some photos would be really great. I believe that system to be really worth while. would be great to hear from a successful replicator.
        Thanks. Rich

          • Hello Mr. F.M.Chalkalis

I would like to believe you, however as i and others have pointed this seems only a way to accumulate energy.

Now if you say that this amount of energy rotating because of its mass and centripetal force could cause another gravity (center of attraction) or maybe an elastic resonance of the iron or something else that in fact generate energy by is interaction with gravity is another history.

Please provide more info about the principle behind it or why you think it would generate more than the input.

If you can attach an alternator and a proper load and make a video. Please prove us wrong in what we are thinking about your device.

            Best Regards

            • Dear Mr. Chalkalis,

Very nice of you to have joined our discussion.

Personally, I was not reading Ted's open letter as a personal attack. Also, I'm sure that if he had meant it as such, it would have been more outspoken and less courteous. If I attack someone, it sure is not to be mistaken about. Perhaps you might see it as Newton asking Einstein some questions, intended to bring their understanding of a matter at equal level.
At least, Ted got your attention.

I'm sure the scientific community as a whole would be most appreciative if you did answer Ted's questions, in order for us all to understand the physics of what's happening here. No-one likes to undertake a take-consuming and costly build, only to learn later why it was doomed to fail in the objective (producing excess energy). Of the likely hundreds of thousands of replications undertaken, perhaps a handful or less still stand as "likely producing factual excess energy". All the others, were merely learning experiences, accompanied with disappointment.

Surely with such a elimentary design as yours, the deeper workings and method of measurement can be explained in a few sentences? We seem to know pretty well how the device is to be built, but can't understand why it should produce excess energy. The math we tried, can't prove it.

Rest assured, this forum is most, most eager to learn all about your work, but we need something more than what we have now. Ted had high hopes as anyone, but as support was sought for your theory, quick research proved the way we thought it might work, to be incorrect.

Please help us on our way to understand?

              Thanks in advance,

              J

                • I do regret assuming that you actually had a working device. Usually when somebody goes to all the trouble of making a video, establishing a web page and making a big deal of donating a device, the machine has some merit. I admit I got sucked up in the excitement before I took a closer look.
In the end, all that you have so generously "opened sourced" is a rotating pendulum. That's it. We just want to know why you think it's so special.
If you merely wanted some help with your device, all you had to do was ask. We all have projects that we get stuck on.
Instead you have ignored all the legitimate questions put to you and spent your only post here whining about how mean and unfair I've been to you.
Get over it. We don't have the time and energy to waste on a lot of BS.
Oh, and welcome to the forum.

                  • @Ted. I don't understand how you can just lay in to someone like that just because you are so sure it will not work. Has anyone built a replica? If you have built a replica and it categorically does not work then fire away!!, mow the guy down! I am also sure that if you approached skepticism in a more humane manner, you might get some explanation as to how it is supposed to work. You can't possibly know how this thing is going to work exactly unless you build a replica. Just because similar devices and theories have failed does not mean this one will fail just because you are so sure you know what is going on. Give the guy a break! He's not asking for money, he made an effort to show this to the world. If you are so sure this will not work, just keep your comments to yourself and let others judge for themselves. What if you missed something? What if it does work? How will you feel persuading others to look elsewhere? I can't see how your attitude is productive in any way whatsoever.

It's not a matter of whether his device works or not (it doesn't). It's that he's making a big show of selfless generosity which it's a bunch of crap.
I have a number of unfinished projects, which have also shown great promise, that I would gladly give to the world too. So what. What good are they if they don't work. Why should I waste everyone else's time and money just because I'm unwilling to finish them myself?
This is exactly what Chalkalis has done. He hasn't given away anything, he only wants other people to finish the job for him.
Why do you think he doesn't answer even the most basic questions about his device? It's because he can't back up any of his claims. Why should he be exempt from having to show proof? He doesn't even have the courtesy to tell us that he's stuck and can't figure out how to extract any energy from the thing.
I'm the first one to have sympathy for anyone who has worked long and hard to get something running, only to hit a brick wall. I've been there plenty of times myself, but the way Chalkalis did this is just wrong.

                        Ted

BTW, I believe a pendulum is likely capable of producing a lot of extra energy. I've built quite a few devices containing a pendulum in the attempt to understand this phenomenon. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone with an interest in this device to build one and learn how it works. Building as a learning tool is never a waste of time. Just don't expect it to produce anything extra as it is.

I might have been received differently when proposed with just the drawings.
Peope would not have understood, and asked the inventor to build it himself first. Now that in fact it was already built, and theatrically donated to the world, the world wants to look in the mouth of the horse it was given. It's a nice looking horse, but will it live another year?
After decades of trying and building, and certainly a top level build, they world may be a bit disappointed in the explanation.

There's some great builders reading this thread, but they need a bit more convincing than a kindergarten group with a pile of blocks to build a similar pretty tower like the one the teacher built as example.
People are not unthankful, they simple want to be educated, and convinced. Blind faith is a bad gamble in the OU community. No reason inventor #xxxx has found the magic key.

I for one, want to learn how and why it offers a gain, as I don't see it, yet.

                          • Hi folks, Hi Mr.Chalkalis and welcome. Thank you for your intention to help people, which in the end is what matters. I myself see where your device may gain energy and hope we can all help each other in harmony. You know folks, I recall a story about a couple guys that built bicycles and claimed heavier than air flight and while actually flying around the skies, reporters and scientists were still claiming it's impossible. Maybe they should have relaxed there ego's a bit and looked to nature, birds have a few more secrets up there sleeves and the bees.
