i think i make a mistake
it should be like
c*f = 0.043* 0.002= 860 micro farad aprox

now lets try to recompute like you recomand based on that

energy = 0.5 * c* v*v
E= 0.5* 860* 480*480
E= 99.072 joules
but the power p = e/ t or p=e*f
p= 99.072/ 0.01
p= 9907.2 w
p=9.9 kw

like you can see just some ordinary math!

looks like my math is bad as well..
I followed your equation as written and do a quick calculator..
I know now how I come-up with 9.9w

I got a closer look and checked.. my bad.
oh and 50 hz is 0.02

and how are you planning on charging 840 micro farad at 480v at 50 hz?.. in resonance?.. you want to kill your self?.
in the first place how are you planning to make a 840 micro farad that can withstand 480v?..

well a NON-POLARIZED capacitor that size would be really interesting.. have tried building my own capacitor that can widthstand kilovolts at microfarad range. even tried water capacitors.. no luck, not even close to reaching 1 uf.
