But... the wire from inside the case which I think you labled 87a should ONLY goto primary battery neg. you have it connected to another branch. ( I looked again at your schematic it is not connected no dot ) but someone might think it is connected, I would run it with a curve symbol showing the two do not combine.
I would not use 87a as a label but rather use wire added inside or something like that,

I had that same problem awhile back until I used a half dead battery or super caps to let the the cap discharge into. There is evidently little or no amperage here so if you don't create a sort of vacume for the energy, it will not go into the battery. I think that the blinking neon in my cirtcuit holds the voltage at a certain level and as long as it is higher than than the battery voltage by enough volts,and the battery wants to be charged, then charging will take place. It is not just a fluff charge either because it will run those little Christmas LEDs that I showed.
