Hi my sweet Pathers & fellow Eneretic Forum Colleagues ....

I had this in mind since quite a while ago and I don't know why I was hesitating to start this thread ....

but after getting a push from a great amazing soul here . .. i felt encouraged to start that thread hoping that it is going to be beneficial for all of us..

my idea is that, here, we can share our experiences and situations in our relationships ... all kinds of relationships (Love Relationships, relationships with work colleagues, with family, parents ...etc.) .. and we can get advice .... many a times i face a situation and it triggers "an advice seeking frenzy" state of mind for me ... I feel I just want to go and narrate my story to everyone on the street ... well im sure we can get great advice among each other here

so let's start sharing experiences and spreading the advice ..

I am very happy and grateful you started this thread. It is going to help many many people! With a discussion like this, Their will be different kinds of advice, and people will be able to choose what resonates perfectly for them, and gain much wisdom in the Realm of interpersonal relationships.

I would like to add that in all relationships I find my self in; I keep the element of Forgiveness very close at hand! The power of forgiveness (of myself and others) is never ending in turning a relationship situation that is challenging into a great success story!

I seek advice in this area...

Hmmmm... How to state this or ask it... LOL!

Having lived in isolation for so many years... where does someone meet people and especially people who believe the way I do? I am definitely wanting friendships... As in friends that are not on the internet! I love you all, but I would love some friends that I can go to lunch or dinner with and share ideas and thoughts and the likes... I don't care if they are woman or men! At this point, I just want to know where one finds friends?

My instinct tells me that as I get moved into my new home and I start selling my artwork... That I will naturally attract the friends I am desiring... Is that True or do I need to be actively doing something? LOL! Okay I am just desiring friendships, and not really thinking about love relationships... I figure when the time is right that will all happen perfectly when I am ready for it! Okay I probably just answered my own question about friendships they will happen perfectly in their own way and time. Hehehee!

I seem to do that a lot, but maybe my talking through this here will help others too!

yes Gracie you are very right ... human interaction is in our daily lives and having the chance to share experiences and thoughts and getting advice from each other is something that everyone needs ..

I would add "Appreciation" to your "Forgiveness" .... if only everyone appreciates everyone in their lives ....

Let's start appreciating each and every person in our lives ... i have started an appreciation journal ... in which i keep listing every single thing i appreciate about every single person who is important to me .... and even for the people i interact with on a daily basis ...we are touched by everyone we meet in some way or another ..lets pay close attention to that .. and make the best of it

wow, what a great i dea for a thread as i think i will have at least a tibit to add to this thread, or more so gain by reading what others have to say... i also wonder that too SallyJane, as i am changing sooo much, where and how do i meet those people who i can share similar beleifs with... however yes i have also experienced them just coming to me... interesting..

i know that all of us here have all those great beliefs in common ... and that we know our desires will come our way just the right time and place ...

and i also know how u can be impatient sometimes ....

my advice to you is ... open up .... go places .. arrange plans .... some alone and some with family members or work colleagues or even just aquaintances ...

u initiate things ... and from there events keep coming into ur life .. and the events involve people ... people to interact with, go out with, have fun with ..and maybe develop a close relationship with ... be it a special kind of friendship or love .. u never know what comes to u ... but the most important thing is ... KEEP MOVING and going places ... remember that if u keep doing the same things in ur life then you will keep getting the same usual outcome ..same events, same routine .. more or less ..

I'll give u a little example.... me and my best friend .. we've been best friends ever since we were 5 and 6 years old ... we're just like sisters ... one of our rituals is that we go out together every weekend ... we've been doing this ever since Forever ..... and lately, around a few months back, we discovered that, in every "era" of our lives we tend to be sticking to certain places .. we go to this one or two cafe's for a quick coffee ..and this specific restaurant for lunch or dinner .. the cinema, shopping ..etc... same old same old..and we were complaining why not much is happening with us and we're wondering why we dont meet people

well... we decided we need to kick it off ..and start initiating things and discovering places ... we started gathering groups of people we know from work or the neighborhood or old friends ... little by little the groups of people we go out with got bigger and more interesting ... and i can tell u .. lots has changed in our lives now .. we now have so many choices when going out, we're mingling more .. and we're having more fun ..

so open up .. initiate .. mingle .. and keep moving ..

Dear Sallyjane & Adrienne ...

I too have wondered for a long time if I can meet people who believe what i believe in .... u won't believe to what extent this affected me ... i even reached a point in my life a few years back when i actually coninced myself that i didnt have to evolve any further in the way i think and believe ... i decided in my mind that i should stop developing ... i said i'd stop right there ... career wise, education wise, mind wise, and personal development wise .. just coz i cant find anyone who thinks like me or who perceives the world like i do ... !! can u believe that !!!

when i found PATHS last February ..and then the Energetic Forum .. it got me right back on track ..right where i should be .... it revived my passions ... and i knew that i had made a big mistake by thinking i should stop my pursuit of fulfillment in every aspect of my life ...

now .. i know that there are no limits to what and where i wanna be ... and what i look for in the people i am with (wether friends or the love relationship that i am looking for) is their ability to accept ideas and understand new things ... i care about the broad-mindedness ... i care about the person being keen on developing themselves from the inside out ... i care the person wanting to make a difference ... i care about the person being open to exchanging ideas and views .. i care about the person wanting to know more and more ... i care about the person being someone who wants to find the truth ... these are the core values ... u dont have to meet someone who is exactly like you ... the most important thing is that you interact well and can share your thoughts openly and learn from each other constantly ... when u find such people and develop good relationships with each other, both ends become sources of enrichment for each other on many levels...

that's what we need to keep our senses open for ... and once you start observing .. and speaking ur mind ... people ur looking for start appearing in ur life ..

Lama, as I was reading your first responce... I thought Wow! hmmm how do I do that... get out! Then I realized I have already started on that path when I moved out on my own after 16 years of marriage! When I left behind the friends that were holding me back, and started making new friends... Tonight, I went to a Christmas party at office of the shelter and it was so nice, and I realized just how many friends I do have... and although they may not totally understand my beliefs and thoughts they are all drawn to me as a friend! Each and everyone of us has stepped out into new territory! It is pretty cool! I think I will have to get a group of them together to go out one night!

advice needed please

I got introduced to a lovely Feng Shui practitioner at a Wellbeing exhibition a couple of weeks back .. and we immediately arranged a visit to my home for an initial reading of my home's overall energy and so on ...

and she came in and diagnosed our home ambiance and all ... that was the initial checkup and the deal was that she highlights the problems on this free visit and if i felt i wanted to go on, i would pay her and she will be my home consultant for a year or so .... i loved her and believed her and trusted her so much ... and im so excited to go further and do the job professionally from A to Z ..

now, the problem is .. my mom... she doesnt believe in these things ... and on top of it all .. my mom's passion is home interiors decorations ..and she is very creative in that area .. she always comes up with amazing ideas for our home and keeps implementing new ideas, changing colors, moving furniture, and renewing our home's look very frequently ..

so, when the lady came into our home, my mom met her... and i could feel she was not very pleased with the visit ... after the lady left, my mom explicitly told me that she thanks me for the efforts but she doesnt want anyone interfering in her home .. she took the matter so personally .. and she felt somehow threatened !! that was the last thing that i would have expected to happen ... i think i need to mention here that mama doesnt work and she feels that this is her area of specialty and everyone always praises her taste and wonderful ideas ..

now i cannot go on with the consultation or the implementation, knowing that going with what the lady wll tell us to do will dramatically enhance the quality of our life and what comes our way in different aspects (health, work, relationships..etc) ..

any suggestions about how i can approach my mom and convince her ?

It seems praising her would help. Maybe tell her that the consultant raved about how well kept the home is, something she liked about your mom, or something like that. That might butter her up to feeling positive about the whole idea.

I have been following this VERY wonderful thread since you started it a few days ago...In fact, I wrote a post yesterday only to find that once I submitted it, it vanished into the White Screen of Death!!! Geesh!!! This same posting problem happened to me last week as well...(Hey...Admisitrators...What's going on? Don'tcha want my imput here? Geesh... )

Anyway..Lama...Honey... You gotta Unconditionally ACCEPT and LOVE your Mama, as well as ALL the other people in your life at ALL times and NOT try to impose your beliefs upon them or change them in any way. Yeah, I know...The Feng Shui lady could really enhance the interior of your home in the most beneficial ways, but your mama is NOT resonating to this Feng Shui business and, well...since it is her home and she feels an exquisite sense of safety, empowerment, self-worth, joy, meaning... (Holy Moly...The list goes on and on)...in creating the home she has always dreamed of... Oh Sweetie... My advice is this...DO NOT try take this away from your mama!!! And do not worry about it either...Your precious mama identifies herself with what she creates within with her home and she has a right to this. You need to respect and accept this intrinsic part of her and and celebrate it, even if it goes against your personal beliefs.

When You have your very own own place, when it is YOURS, THEN you can ask the Feng Shui lady to do her thing! In the meantime...Let your most wonderful mama BE and DO NOT try to convince her otherwise...Let her do her own thing in her own home...And KNOW that you are doing All Things Right to attract to yourself YOUR Perfect reality. Your precious and perfect reality where YOU (yeah, YOU!) can create ALL that is perfect for YOU in YOUR own home...And, Dearest Lama..I KNOW what you want... YOU are looking for your soul mate, aren't you, Honey? Yeah...I know...You can't fool me, you Beautiful Girl, You!!! My Sweet Lama... It is clear from all that you have posted that the Universe will bring this most delicious desire to you...You are So Completely filled with Love, Light and Joy... How could you NOT attract this? Holy Moly, Honey...The Love of Your Life (who is coming your way NOW ) is going to spend FOREVER being SOOO Happy and Grateful to have found the enormous Blessing that is YOU, so RELAX, and let your most wonderful mama do her thing in her home and when the time is right, you can call the Feng Shui lady to YOUR home and let her go wild!!!

i cant express to you how i felt reading your beautiful reply ... you got tears into my eyes ... you are very right about every word you said ... after reading your words, i immediately jumped off my bed and rushed into mama's bedroom and gave her a big hug and told her that i love her more than anyone in the world and that i dont care about doing this feng shui thing (ps. i had a little argument with her about it last night) ... she was so happy and she told me jokingly that she thought for a moment that i loved the feng shwai lady more than her ...)

dear Jessica Thanks for your lovely reply ... i already have tried that last night but it didnt take me anywhere .... mom's decorations mean a lot to her and no matter what i told her she was not convinced that what this "outsider" is gonna "order" us to do is gonna help us in any way!

I've already taken the decision to go with what Pamela has adviced me to do ... isnt sharing experiences, ideas and advice an amazing way to get us exposed to different points of view until one or a few resonate with us just perfectly that we know exactly what to do .... Grace was very right when she told me so .. i can feel it now

and you know what, ... this morning, i wake up and i was looking for something in my book shelves and there it was standing tall and bright was my "Feng Shwui Journey" book that i had bought a few years back and i hadnt read fully ... maybe i had only read the first few chapters .. i was reading through it and i felt wow that book is so informative, i can study it and do my own little things at home maybe ... isnt that nice
