Man ‘made to work’ at Fukushima Daiichi

Man ‘made to work’ at Fukushima Daiichi — “I was finally issued with a radiation dosimeter on my fourth day”
          May 9th, 2011 at 01:47 PM

Job seeker says ending up at nuclear plant not mentioned in ad, Kyodo, May 9, 2011:

An Osaka man was made to work at the crippled nuclear power plant in Fukushima Prefecture for about two weeks, when he had been expecting to work in neighboring Miyagi Prefecture, said a job placement center in Osaka on Monday. [...]

‘‘I was finally issued with a radiation dosimeter on my fourth day of work there,’’ he was quoted as saying.

On March 17, the man accepted the offer of a job—details of which had been posted at the agency—in the Miyagi Prefecture town of Onagawa. Instead, he was immediately sent to the Fukushima Daiichi plant to work for six hours a day clad in protective gear, handling water to cool the Nos. 5 and 6 reactors there, the center said. [...]

Really bad, I'm not an expert but for me, there must be many tons of radioactive materials floating over our heads.
                Sadly impressive.

Fukushima Was Hit With a Full-Blown Nuclear Meltdown”

It’s Official: Fukushima Was Hit With a Nuclear Meltdown, — Pool of radioactive lava could be melting its way out, Sam Biddle for Gizmodo, - It's Official: Fukushima Was Hit With a Nuclear Meltdown
                  May 12, 2011:

                  - The flow of bad news (and radiation) out of Fukushima’s reactors has diminished to a trickle over the past several weeks, as rescue work has proceeded. Not today. TEPCO’s admitted for the first time that Fukushima experienced a grave meltdown. [...]

"TEPCO workers and the Japanese government have desperately struggled to keep the nuclear fuel rods inside the reactors cool—if they don’t, the scorching material will melt into a pool of radioactive lava, further damaging the facility. That’s the scenario everyone’s been aiming to avoid—and that’s the scenario we now know had actually occurred all along. Underneath all that dumped seawater has been lying a blob of melted fuel. And it could be melting its way out."
                  - which also means millions of gallons of highly radioactive water flowing to the Pacific Ocean and underground streams.

This admittance goes against every assurance TEPCO has handed the world in the midst of Japan’s nuclear crisis [...]

                  and more....

Government was hours late with radiation map
                  Kyodo

It took the central government more than eight hours after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami crippled the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant to send the prefecture a map detailing the potential levels of exposure for nearby areas to radioactive materials released in the disaster, according to sources.

The delay in delivering the map, which is supposed to be sent to local governments in emergency situations to help them swiftly carry out safety measures, is likely to have impeded the prefecture's evacuation of residents.

The map was created after the plant lost power at around 3:30 p.m. March 11 but was not delivered immediately as a dedicated line for sending the data and a terminal in the prefecture for receiving it had been destroyed by the devastating quake, according to an agency commissioned by the central government to create such maps.

The prefecture eventually received the map at around 11:50 p.m. via email. However, it had to decide the areas and timing of the evacuation without sufficient radiation data when it issued the first evacuation order at 8:50 p.m. for residents living within 2 km of the plant, prefectural government sources said Monday."

what do you think would happen if that blows or goes into super nova?
It is on the most geologically unstable location on the planet.
Four different tectonic plates converge near that location.

There is a reason you all feel the urgency to find alternative fuel, beyond simply the cost of a kilowatt or a gallon of high octane.

Our very lives and the future of the earth is dependent on this.

Obviously it will be a great disaster!! the first nuclear attack in the World War can still not be forgotten and people still carry the pain in their hearts, so what do you think, the impact of a disaster from a mistake (possible to happen)?

Now, if we just remove all "may", "might", "could" and "possibly" then we "may" get the real situation. This has been pretty obvious scenario for many except TEPCO. What's really disgusting is the global cover up, misleading test results or lack of such. This is a crime against the Earth and humanity.
