    Hello all, I am a newbee to this forum and don't know if there is any topic protocol, but I think the best way in is to just jump, so here goes. Has anyone out there built or is in the process of building a MEG generator. This design perfected by Bearden and verified by J. L. Naudin. I am currently in the process of using toroids as transformers and possibly energy extractors. Not yet achieved overunity and have not proved out aelf running capability which indeed would prove out I would think, overunity energy output. My design has two paths, one using a large 3 inch dia. toroid in a MEG configuration. The other is the conventional dual 'C' cores but instead of steel or iron I have a ferrite device. Any information would be helpful as this is a long process and many dead ends have been encountered. I've seen quite a bit of desgns but they all seem to fall short of that crutial question, Does the magnet really add any signifigant energy to the output or just provide a better coupling mechanism .     I have read up on Bearden's MEG and I think I know a little bit about how it works. The magnetic field of the magnet is divided into 2 paths, the magnet being in the common path of both(located in the center). He has wired up a primary and a secondary winding. The primary windings are to switch or control the magnetic fields. The secondary windings are to collect energy from the switching of the magnetic fields. So in this case the magnet is heart of the apparatus. When I read up on MEG's it seems to me that the basic goal is to "switch" a permanent magnet on and off or divert it from one place to another automatically with an electrical device such as a coil. Technically if you have a permanent magnet with a "moving" magnetic field then you can collect electricity from it. With a MEG, as long as the power used to switch the magnet field is less than the electricity collected from the action of switching, then you would have a over unity machine. I'm confused as to why you are using a toroid coil?

    Yes, as I understand Tom Bearden's MEG, the permanent magnet is critical. It provides the magnetic field that electricity is derived from.

    I have not built a MEG, but I did build something similar that was based on the same theory. Unfortunately it didn't work very well at all and I abandoned the whole thing. But I still like the idea and I think it may be possible to switch the field around a permanent magnet. And I know of many semiconductor devices that take almost no electricity to switch. So at least there is an example out there that it is possible to switch a large electrical device with very little power supplied to the switch itself. There may be something similar out there that can do the same thing for a magnet.

      Jason...Thanks for the reply. I want to use a toroid or in this case a large square ferrite core that I have. I am using this instead of the silicon steel that Bearden and Naudin are using.Most of the magnetic field is contained in a toroid with very little loss to the outside. I am still puzzled by the claims of overunity or C.O.P >1. If that wre true than appropriate coupling of the output to the input would result in the device running itself. I think that because of the pulse nature of the device(MEG), the ouput energy has to be stored with a battery perhaps. I tried using a capacitor but my test MEG(toroid) only ran a few seconds by itself. I think there is some combination of MEG, Joule Thief and Naudin's 2S Gen device that could possibly hold the answer. Only experimentation will prove it out. The main question is still, can a permanent magnet be persuaded to yield some of it's energy back into the system. I've seen the Bearden results and it looks like it does, but where are these devices in our normal work a day environment. Almost like the cold fusion scenario it seems, it works but not quite. Anyway, good experimentation to all out there and maybe some positive results. Good luck to all.
