  • My HHO thoughts

Well first off I would like to tell you about the car that I would like to put a HHO cell in. It's a 1993 Geo Metro 1.0L 993cc engine with a 5 speed. The car weighs in at about 2100 lbs or less. I can get 43 mpg driving like everyone else on the road, but by useing the pulse and glide driving technique I have been able to achieve 57-60 MPG depending on how many green lights I make it threw. Generally I can go about 2 weeks and 3 days driving back and forth to work before haveing to fill up again. Now don't get me wrong I'm not complaining about my gas mileage at all, but I would really like to improve that to maybe 75-80 mpg or maybe more.

Now I have a few options as far as placement for a cell and I would like to know everyones thoughts about which one might be the best setup for my application. I know it is almost impossible to tell me how one setup is better then another setup without building it and testing it in my car. I'll take pictures of the engine bay tomorrow so you can see what i'm workn with. I have a few cell ideas inmind, i've drawn them up in Rhinoceros but I can't find anywhere to upload them to so I can post them. Anyways the first is 5" X 5" X 6" it contains 30 316L stainless steel plates 4" square by .062" thick and spaced .117" apart from each other. Now I have room on the left side of the engine for one cell and If I relocate the battery to the back of the car then I have space for another cell on the other side of the engine.

The only other option I have is to make 4 cells 2" or 3" diameter and 16" long and put 12" strips of 316L stainless to make several smaller cells. I understand that everyone says you only need 250ml of hydrogen per liter of displacement in your engine. Well seeings how my motor is only a 1 liter motor then I don't have a problem with haveing a little extra. O and adjusting my timeing to be able to run more then 40% is ok with me, I have 2 spare motors incase something happens, heck I don't have a problem being a lab rat.

    Thanks for your input
    DJ
