Hi Guys,

I am designing a Vexus PCB and have taken many of the different ideas and combined them. Here is my current layout. Any recommendations or advice is greatly welcomed.



It may be a little hard to tell what all is on the board so I will try and describe it:
First there is 80K volt protection. Each diode has a 500k ohm resistor to prevent cascading failure should a diode go bad.

There is a 1 ohm 100w Caddock resister to protect the inverter. Also R1 is a Caddock resister. This will require either a large heat sink or use of a metal case with the resistors mounted to it.

Not shown in this revision is the ability to use different CDI caps (C1). My latest revision has holes for a 10, 22, 33, or 47uF cap.

I was also thinking of having the option of either a voltage doubler or quadrupler.

Once concern that I have is the voltage drop across all the diodes.

So what do you think?

The board layout looks great.

The thing is, I ended up using an oil filled CDI Cap (in my case 1 to 2 uF) because every other kind I used would overheat and blow up. The doubler caps can also get hot depending on the frequency and power throughput.

Most of these things show up when the board is run and put under a continuous load.

original VexUs / steam tests

Hi Guys, always a marvel and privilege to be involved with you guys, now to Robin's defense, we really wore them down, AND ARE USING HYDROXY, we did a lot of K's and we used a standard ignition source, and used different grades of fuels, high octane to premium unleaded etc.

So we really took them too the wall.

We were running the factory ignition system and a 3L/min hydroxy booster.
We tried regular and premium unleaded. Yup, the one on the right is the one we will use to show the public(un used), the one on the left is the worn one.

Now a friend in Melbourne Australia is experimenting with Kiker leads and
a Crane Cams HI 6 CDI and PS91 coil, which is what Robert Krupa used to fire his plugs. Plus he is using them with Brisk Premium LGS plugs. I hope to have some more results with them soon, Robin wonder how your plugs with go with that ignition

I was referring to my original test with the VexUs circuit and steam ingestion on non-resistor standard configuration plugs. I have no long duration test time on any of the the new plugs yet ... only you've done that so far. I have been finishing my steam gen etc.

What I was saying is 6% just from Robin's plugs and some Hyroxy is far more significant than my (adjusted) 12% with the VexUs circuit as a much more comprehensive mod.

Plug wear

One thing to note by Ash's test results, with plasma and Firestorm plugs is that you'll have to keep an eye on plug wear regularly. I'd hate to have small peices of plug anode or cathode rattle around in the chamber scoring the cylinder walls, or jammed in a valve seat.

Krupa's patent is good till Aug. 18, 2018. It's already been 10 years since he had them patented. He has promised for years that they will be coming out.... next quarter......

As per patent law, yes you can make them for yourself. You are just not suppose to sell them.

What we need is some Chinese company to make them and sell them on the black market.

Is there any official reason why the firestorm plug is still not out in the market?

I would like to see an independent test done on it, any linkies? or more like I mean someone in here who have tried the original plugs. It would be cool to see the massive MPGs increase by using the plug alone. Cant wait to get hold of one to try out, original or replicas

The reason is that there is a need for security and support from the public out side of the normal corporate environment regarding alternative and suppressed free energy technology or any energy technology which is an alternative to fossil fuels or can threaten their profits.

Of the many past and present case files which illustrate this, in particular is the related research to the firestorm spark plug. This is one of the many perfect examples. Tests conducted with the firestorm plugs showed that as a result of the plugs design and the plasma process it uses that they would never wear out. Robert Kupra's first fireStorm plug was made back in 1996 and has since then encountered opposition to their introduction and manufacture. There is still no manufacturer as of today 2009.

Robert reports that he achieved a 44% MPG increase and reduced the emissions by the same 44 percentage by using these plugs. These results are nothing to take lightly when considering just by the spark plug/ignition alone we could take up too 44% of the pollution out of all of the cars in the world and relive 44% of every ones economic burden. If the fact that this plug has been around since 1996 and is still not in use today isn't enough of a reality check for alarm, another individual Ian from the UK contacted us. He showed us a platinum ball tipped spark plug which he made as far back in 1991.

Ian worked for the ford motor company. He was not employed exclusively to develop spark plug technology, Ian just intuitively developed an idea, manufactured it and tested it in fords.His plug turned out great and ended up not really being any dearer then the normal plugs to make. However Ian reports to us, that this upset a lot of people higher up. The plug is a double platinum ball tipped spark plug.They were manufactured from scratch. Just some extra processes involved. These were built on the same assembly line as the standard autolite plug. (check the PDF)

Whilst the Firestorm plug relies on lots of earth to slow down oxidation when the plug fires. Ian's plugs platinum ball tips cleaned themselves every time they fired. Ian manufactured the ball tip concept 18 years ago and nobody was interested then, This Plug never got into public hands. As of today 2009 both these plugs have never made it to the production line. There is no way they can by the current corporate environment. Who is going to make spark plugs that take revenue out of the oil companies pockets, and never wear out?, if your only for the accumulation of personal wealth not the well being of our planet then you have no business endorsing and manufacturing these plugs.

How many corporations today in fortune 500 help the planet to capacity aside from their own self interest and wealth which they cannot spend in their life time.

If the proposed granted Panacea research and development institute was in effect, all alternative and free energy technology which has political and economic conditions attached to it would be protected, any technology that is in danger of interference or lack of endorsement as a result of any corporate interest that feels that they could loose financially from having this environmentally sound technology in public hands can be protected.

The case of Ian's and Roberts plugs are just two examples of MANY others, to cover the complete extent of suppressed energy technology, it would take a 4 hour documentary needing to span generations to show how bad the problem is. We have done over 5 years of research into this issue and will be releasing a documentary on it soon.


In the case of Ian's and Rob's plugs and others suppressed technology, the non profit organization With given resources can and would contract some one to produce these plugs or technology as an environmental public service or environmental initiative. Also endorsement , carbon credits and subsides can also be allocated to help the public fit these plugs to their cars to save energy and stop pollution.

The panacea institute if supported publicly can help create public pressure to ensure this. These plugs can still be done TODAY. Ask your selves how else will they get these plugs and other technology out there to capacity, count how many years have gone by since the 90's, these plugs have been ready then and understand why they are not out there now. Then look at the same case with the why Avon car and the NmHi batteries in the electric car were bought out and shelved.

Another function of security which is proposed to be part of the panacea research and development center to help the public, we are a non profit org, would be the mandatory a registration of all free energy related technology by legislation from the patent office as a public record through the institute. After this all would need to be coming through the panacea center, and its kept in public knowledge. There is then a clause associated with it, which states that a company or corporation that shows interest, can only buy the patent under a clause, and that is they are given a 2 year period in which to produce the technology. After this any rights to with hold the technology are lifted.

What is there to prevent this from happening today, and how else would these reach the public otherwise if not for an institute like the panacea proposed granted research and development center which was set up specifically to create security and grant support for this issue. There is no other way.

The Panacea non profit organizations proposed granted research and development center is an institution that is needed to assist the government and inventors and help create security for this technology. Plus this institution is needed to help advance faculty education.How else can a government protect technology which threatens a multi trillion dollar oil industry and help the public gain access to them.nothing in today's society has faced up to it.

Prius Mileage

To Ash's points...

I have heard that the Toyota Prius in Japan gets about 100 MPG or something rediculously better than the US sold product. Why does a brand new Japanese Hybrid get much worse gas mileage than a 1986 Honda CRX HF Carburated 4 cylender ICE? The sticker on the car new claimed 50 MPG highway. On long trips we used to get close to 55 MPG. Rumor has it that they had to reduce MPG to compete with US cars and only 35 or so in order for them to be sold in the USA. There is a chip which you can replace on your US prius to get the higher economy. Perhaps its the crap gasoline designed to ruin your engine.

Has anyone tried using a FL in place of the spark gap to see if the diode causes some radiant effect in lighting the FL that would give us much more efficient FL?

In Japan, it is hard to find junk gas except on the US military bases...about 88 octane that I remember in high school...but for $1/gallon it was worth it.

Off base, 96 octane is about the lowest you'll find... 96/98/100 is pretty standard from what I remember and of course ridiculously expensive...even back then. When it was around 100 yen to the dollar...that was about what it was per liter... so about $3.78 per gallon at that yen rate back then...15 years ago last time I was there. And I think that was for the low octane of 96.

The prius is light enough for a 100% electric motor, in my option you would strip the hybrid out, keep the regenerative breaking tho

I decided to test this with a dead (it would come on weakly for about 5 seconds and then shut off and both ends look burned out) FL bulb. It lights up very brightly. Using a 15uF cap charged to 120V at 60hz I could power the tube at much more than full brightness but at 60hz it would use a lot more power than when it is normally in use.

Without a spark gap, it is actually brighter WITHOUT the diode. If I put the CF in serial with the spark gap then it is brighter with the effect. (I still cannot get the effect with a 1uF oil cap). I would guess that my circuit is right if adding the diode makes a huge difference in the sound, light, and volume of the spark.

Another interesting observation, I have a baby rocker that plays music that just "randomly" starts up when I start making sparks. It is a good 8' away. It has a mechanical switch that ends up moved half way between "off" and "loop". I don't know what the heck is going on with that! I have to physically move it back to off to stop the music.

Are those the Berrillium Copper plugs in your photo? It looks like the one on the bottom has substantial wear or corrosion.

Doh, sorry man, i missed this one if i ever do guys please let me know i am not ignoring any one. Olkay, yes they were the copper ones, her is an exert from the new updated PDF on the wear ideas. Don't orget we used hydroxy and high octane fuel guys, just wanted to see how these babies would hold up.

Fire storm spark plug replication by Robin

Tests are currently being done to record the wear on these plugs. The following improvements have been suggested by open source engineers.

Keep in mind that any extensions made on regular plugs like copper WILL NOT work!! The only Alloys you can use for the center Semi-Sphere and the top extensions are to be made from High Chromium (25 to 30%) Fe-Cr-Al Alloys to withstand vaporization during sparking... or even High Chromium Nickel Alloys will also work. Using these alloys is critical due to the plasma created.. Copper melts at 1200 deg C.

Robin has stated that they were made of the same steel the rest of the plug is made of. Recently he has switched to a new alloy for durability. He told me the plugs are now made of an Alloy called Beryllium Copper. Info Beryllium copper - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

They may look like Copper but not really just that. He has been testing and developing these for some time now.However it would be interesting to see how a high Nickel content Stainless version of this plug would perform as some have reported nickel could have a catalysis effect on water in the combustion chamber?

Platinum-Rhodium Thermocouples are commercially available in various wire sizes and these have good wear resistance at high temperatures as well and are available in wire form and can be flattened for this application. There is another rare Thermocouple Alloy made from Tungsten - Rhenium Alloy which can withstand temperatures of over 2500 deg C and can be used here but it's pretty difficult to find in retail.

The tips exposed to sparking usually fall under "Spark Plug Alloys" but there is a catch here as the previously developed alloys were for sparking only and not for use under Plasma conditions.

When you choose an Fe-Cr-Al alloy or Ni-Cr-Al Alloys check for the rare-earths used in these Alloys they should be of Yttrium, Zirconium, Hafnium and Cerium. The Rare Earths actually form a protective oxide layer on the surface of the exposed material and this thin film stabilizes at high temperatures and protects the rest of the material from the volatiles

In order to achieve longer service times and reduce fuel consumption in the automotive industry, spark erosion resistant but expensive platinum alloys are used for spark plug electrodes. The necessity of reducing costs and maintaining high quality materials lead to the investigation of cheaper iridium alloys for this application. Iridium has a high melting temperature but the volatile oxide IrO3 is stable above 1000°C, which accelerates electrode erosion. Therefore iridium can replace platinum only when it is protected against oxidation, for example through alloying, so that the alloying element oxidizes and forms a protective oxide layer at the electrode surface.

Fe-Cr-Al-Y (25% Cr, 5% Al and Y stands for Yttrium) alloy is commercially available as an Electric Resistance Alloy in Wire and Strip forms which can be modified and used for this application

new nickel plugs

Hi everyone,

I received my new set of Firestorm replicas from Robin. They are beautiful .. you've already seen one of them posted here.

The first thing I did was a pressure test. It would barely fire either on regular spark of VexUs. The gap is much greater .090 Krupa gap. The Bug would not run. Robin said he's running the same nickel plug/gap so I started to suspect my Bug's old coil. I switched it out with a new one and ... tah dah !

Under the pressure test these plugs Kick A. But, and I don't know if I should feel disappointed or not, they produce what appears to be the same plasma spark with or without the VexUs plasma circuit "on". At atmospheric there is a difference though ... but that doesn't count.
