    First you need to build your rotor and attach 4 magnets.
    You need a housing frame for your rotor - look at Aaron's pic.
    You have to make sure your rotor spins freely but doesn't wobble and is stable. This is one of two most important parts.
    Second. You need a spool to wind your wire on. You need a wire, two lengths as described previously. Best way is to have two spools with wire and wind them together on the third one. Dimensions of spools are specified in posts above. You need a core for your spool and core has to fit tight inside. Secured with glue if necessary. Core may extend above the coil top about 1/4".     You need to fasten your coil under the wheel leaving a gap between magnets and core. It would be good if you could have 1/4" and an option to decrease it, if necessary. Hot glue sticks are great for temporary adjustments.

    You need to get parts for your circuit including another small spool for generator coil as well as some wire.

    Last thing is power source - battery and connecting your coil with circuit.

    Alright since I wiould only need the led light I could just replace the coil below with the generator coil right? Also how would I go about making the generator coil like what wires and stuff and what kind of LED would I use for it and how would I go about setting it up like what. Wires and stuff. Sorry im really new to this and can't screw up thanks for all your help

    #23 and #26 wires are for the main coil. #26 is thinner and this will become a trigger wire going to the base of transistor via resistor and emitter/ground.
    Generator coil is a separate small coil not connected electrically with main circuit. This coil can be suspended above the rotor. LED is connected to this coil. Rotating magnets will induce a current flow in this coil, enough to power LED.

    so if i just connect the #23 and The #26 wires to a led(s) instead of going through all the diodes and other wiring with the batteries and all i can ust make the rotor and have those two wires connected to the led and whenever it runs it will ligh up the led(s)? P.S. i say leds if possible so it will be more noticable. could it power a low watt light bulb by using the method stated above, just curious, as that would be ideal becuase it would be easier to see.

    Small generator coil will provide power for LED without being electrically connected to the circuit.

    Kebob,

    There are only 3 electrical components listed in those diagrams:

    NPN transistor - mps 8099 or 2n3055
    resistor 10 ohm (use this to get it running will be fast) then switch to
    680 ohm after it runs
    diode 1n914 is fine

    Get a 9 or 12v gel cell battery at a few AH rating or more

    You need two sizes of magnet wire. 23 and 26 and long enough to get
    around 600 turns of each around a spool that is 1.5 inches tall and 1 inch
    diameter. Wind both wires together at the same time and wind them so
    that when you attach both ends to a battery, the coil charges with a
    NORTH field at the top. Put a solid steel bolt in the center of the coil
    or use a bundle of welding rod.

    You want 4 ceramic magnets to place around the roller skate wheel.
    Make all 4 with the NORTH field pointing out.

    If you're looking to just do a demo, you don't have to have everything
    super precision tuned - if you just want it to run and prove the point.
    You can get an extra diode - like a 1N4001 or something and that will
    be going from the collector to a second battery for charging - to the
    positive of that batt and the neg of that batt to the positive of the
    power battery.

    You can make the optional generator coil at the peripheral if you want.
    Just depends on what you want to show.

    Kebob, you need a rotor to start with. Skate wheel, scooter wheel, bicycle wheel etc. Depending of what you'll find you'll need magnets. Round ceramic craft magnets for small wheel or rectangular (bar) ceramic (ferrite) magnets for bigger wheel.
    You'll need a frame of some sort to keep your rotor in horizontal or vertical position. Any non magnetic material you can get; plastic, wood.
    You'll need to clean bearings from factory grease which is too thick and apply couple drops of oil lubricant.
    You can drill round holes in rubber scooter wheels with spade bit. Make sure those holes are aligned along circumference and evenly spaced. You can also glue (crazy glue) and tape bar magnets. Electrical part is simple but mechanical has to be done right to avoid frustration. Creativity and imagination are most important. You can get a kit from - Motor Generator Energizer Kits but you'll still need a rotor.

    Hello, i would like some help with making a Bedini SSG with a wheel like the picture in this thread that you posted in. http://www.energeticforum.com/renewa...choolgirl.html

    I am going to be building a science fair project and i would like the most simplistic version for the bedini ssg with either a skateboard wheel or of the like. this is the first time that i have done this so i would also like a very detailed tutorial for a new person with a list of supplies asap because it is due in 2 weeks.
