    • Guys, I've been reading up on the link given us by Suchayo. It's an amazing body of work and gives a really articulate account of that work that is generally ascribed to 'fringe' or as they term it 'minor' modes of thought. Here's an example.

Encyclopedia Nomadica is intended as a source of knowledge about "dissenting", or "minor", modes of thought in science, philosophy and art. By "dissenting" and "minor" we mean those endeavors that fundamentally dissent from officially accepted paradigms and modes of thinking and doing, promoted and furthered by mainstream institutions. Experience has shown repeatedly that it is impossible for such endeavors to receive factual, cogent treatment ...The reason for this is quite simple: the views of the general public are shaped by the generally accepted, media-promoted modes of thinking, and it regards those modes of thinking, including the contempt and hostility they engender with respect to dissenting endeavors, as "impartial" and "factual". Consequently, exposing any article on dissenting modes of thinking to the editorial endeavors of the public perpetually condemns it to distortion, bias, and misinformation.

They've been fighting this war - for ages. And they're amazingly articulate and erudite. It's really good reading. B? You may want to check it out.

Aetherometry, the Science of the Metrics of the Aether

here it is again for those who may need it.

Also this. Thanks Ash. I read up on the project. Laudably ambitious and - again - really wonderful news. Have followed up on the 'link' and am now a proud listed recipient of what will be a weekly email update. There is absolutely no reason this should fail - given that the science that he's advancing is classical or mainstream. It just needs to be developed. And the goal - if reached - will certainly provide the range of experimentalists needed for this research. Definitely prepared to offer my bit here.

All really inspirational stuff. Thanks Ash and thanks Suchayo.

LOL - I've never needed to go much further than my keyboard to find whole 'fields' of faecal deposits of the masculine bovine genus bos. Just hope it proves fertile for the growth of aether consciousness.

That nickel chromium wire never does what you want, it has a little stubborn mind of its own and that's why it is wrapped up with tape to keep it in place. Glen used some heat resistant silicone stuff I think but I wonder if I can find that somewhere. (easily) That tape will probably get too hot as well and become all sticky and a big mess.

              • Congratulations

Bart - Progress at last. And that at warp speed. Not sure where you get that silicone. I think Ash could advise you on where and what. But I think he's away at the moment. SO NICE TO SEE SOME PHOTOGRAPHS. LOL. But before you actually apply that - is that resistor base borosilicate glass? And another minor concern - how wide is that glass? It seems a bit narrow? I think you may need to wrap another resistor with a slightly wider girth. I'll get you the dimensions within a day or two and I'll put out a petition for some more wire. Now that I know our postal services actually perform I'm happy to do the required.

How wonderful to see this happening. WOW. You certainly don't waste time. Good stuff B.

                  • Hi Bart,

Is borosilicate the same as pyrex? Never knew this. Personally I don't think it matters just as long as it can manage the heat. But it should be fine. In any event, if temperatures get too erratic you can always submerse it in water or oil - or whatever. But from Glen's tests it does seem that the width plays a part in the efficiencies. I'm afraid none of us can give you empirical requirements here because it has simply not been sufficiently researched.

I'll send an email to Ash to find out what silicones to use and hopefully he'll post his answer here.

And I'll get back to you during the day to give you an idea of the 'width' we used in our resistor. Sorry I've been tardy in replies here. I've been enjoying the holiday. Hope you did too.

                      • Hi B. Still awaiting a couple of answers for you. I haven't managed to raise a soul today. Probably the holiday.

Regarding the control - the thing is to evaluate the level of amperage flow on the experiment - when you get the desired waveform and sundry. Then generate the required flow from an alternate battery (ideally). You'll need to string up the required resistors in series to get this. We just used 'shop' bought numbers here. If you know the required amperage and the applied voltage then you'll also find the right ohmage. Alternatively, use a functions generator for the control and simply compare the heat dissipated using the same test resistor. Just remember that the current flow from the function's generator must equal the amperage flow measured to be delivered at the control. You need to ensure that the wattage delivered on the control is equal to the wattage delivered from the test batteries. Our findings were that the amperage on the control could not dissipate the same level of heat as our test. Hopefully this answers your question.

Regarding size? As you pointed out - it matters. Better to err on the side of a wider girth - but I'll get back to you, asap, regarding the resistor size we used.

EDITED. BTW. Aaron was not able to find any extra heat and I believe that Ash et al may also be struggling here. In other words the energy dissipated at the resistor exactly matched the energy delivered on the control. But Aaron found a negative value which was very interesting - this at very low wattages. And I believe he's done some experimenting on neon using a similar type circuitry. Not sure of his findings.

                            Hi Ash,

Of course I have this document and of course I saw the silicone sealing reference but I live in the middle of Europe. If I can avoid to have to order in the US, in China, Canada or Australia, I will do that, not that I don't like those countries but just because it is easier and cheaper. Customs often plays diffucult as well. But hey, thanks anyway.

GUYS I HAVE REALLY WONDERFUL NEWS

We have got full on laboratory space, and a full on project for our hot water appliance at A LOCAL CAMPUS. Interest all over the place, and both students and academics on tap. SUCH WONDERFUL NEWS. The project to be headed by Donny. And we'll post ALL RESULTS AS AND WHEN THEY COME.

We're still resolving the 'switch' or - specifically - the transistor. But with all this INTEREST I'm sure we'll find a way around the impasse.

                              Thank you God.

I might add that this is the culmination of many, many years of futile application to the academics and I simply would not have got here without the extraordinary exposure offered us all in this forum and the extraordinary skills of Glen's experimental genius. That replication was definitively the cause of this BREAKTHROUGH. THANK YOU GLEN. AND THANK YOU ENERGETIC FORUM

ON CAMPUS AT LAST. THAT'S GOT TO BE AN IMPROVEMENT. ALL JUST SO RESPECTABLE. LOL
