I understand the piezo effect, take apart a BIC click with the wire attached to the clicker part and give a friend a shock.

However, I'm not sure about being able to pluse the input of a nst. Maybe I misunderstood. In another experiment I have been working on the guy at the Neon sign store misunderstood that I was trying to pluse the input. That was not the case as we are plusing the output with a H11D1. He stated that nst do not like to be plused on the input.

ok now i have some room in the shop i might soon get to work ... but a few things to consider b4 any progress shall be made .. is to stop flyback from exiting from the primary winding... this is a majour concers .. as this is how i first got bit from a flb .. i never expected it to be that powerfull from the input side .. so ..

this brings up a few more things .. i have personally had better results with pnp pulseing hence the little chat on the topic ...

aswell it will make it easyer to pertect the source and driveing equipment .. so if we are to go with pos pulseing .. dc 1.5v source .. first thing we need is a diode .. dirrectonal to only allow the on pulse to flow through this goes on supply primary of transformer to this diode you connect source.. pos pulse .. so now we want to tap some fly back from the same point so we will place a diode in reverse dirrection and have a wire come off it to a cap pos of cap to diode .. neg to common ground ... you can place a choke on the neg side of the primary .... this will STOP THE NEG FROM GOING BACK TO SOURCE... aswell it will limit consumption from source ..

now primary side is pretty well wired other than the driver ... bang it now once mesure voltages on the diffrent points ....


hook up a bulb to secondary

you can add 1 more cap .. and a switch the driver circuit .. and is it a self runner ? o yea dont forget to remove the battery and throw the reserve power switch

i found a cool coil at the dump .. looks like its a generator coil from a snowblower or such ... 10 pole outward push ring bout 6 "

finding a glass toroid is harder than I thought, no luck yet, I searched to local stores and online, if anyone finds some give a link

It revealed some unexpected results, first let me explain how its set up the toroid is horizontal so I placed small magnets on each side, trying to draw the field towards the small magnets.


I expected the magnetic field to be drawn to the small magnets, not sure what happened but as you can see the electric field is surrounding the toroid, I expected it to run inside and outside



I'll freeze it again without the small magnets, if I can find another container the ice is busting all my containers

I think a glass core would work, look at a leyden jar, this vid is interesting the magnetic field is running in the glass like a toroid, glass would make a perfect core.

The glass is separating the magnetic field from the electric field, they are attracted but electric particles will not run in glass, but evidently the magnetic field will.
