Hi ltseung888, I read your posts at 'our' and I would like clarification on the joule thief circuit setup, if you please.
In your latest best prototype setup, you are using a toroid core of which type material?
I don't see a capacitor in your joule thief circuit, are you using a capacitor?

How do you have the coils wound on the toroid core, do you have the 22 turn secondary wound on top of the 11 turn bifilar oscillator, or are they separated on the core?
How are you tuning the circuit, besides the use of the scope, are you using resistors on secondary to change the resonance?

Thanks for answering any questions. I wish to try and get some kind of resonance going in a joule thief with secondary without scopes. I know it can be done.

Capacitor is optional.
Resistors used to tune for resonance, also breadboard holes can be used and variable resistor in secondary output winding.

Thank you for reading the information at my bench on OUR. I shall summarize my thoughts as of today (Sep 2, 2011)

1. My first hint of success was with a signal generator as the primary. I added an LED to achieve Pulsed DC. A toroid was used as a transformer. I could detect resonance characteristics when I varied the frequency. That was in May 2010 in Hong Kong.

2. Observer pointed me to his workshowed clear sign of standing wavesSince I do not have the Mean Function, I used the approximate estimation of Vpp*Ipp or Vrms*Irms to get what was known as the Tseung FLEET Comparison Index.

6. We presented at Hong Kong University and conducted 2 workshops. In the second workshop, a student, Felix, managed to produce a Tseung FLEET Comparison Index of over 280 using ferrite core toroid on a breadboard.

7. We knew that the setup was very sensitive as other students used the same material, used the same number of windings and initially got underunity. After some tuning (tighten winding, using different holes), their prototypes showed overunity of between 2 and 10. This is another good indication of achieving or getting close to resonance.

8. When I went to USA, two FLEET prototypes were sent to Prof. Steven Jones. Prof. Jones focused on the basic Joule Thief without the secondary and achieved COP = 8 as described in his thread at Overunity.com.

9. With the HK$6,000 to every Hong Kong Citizen from the Hong Kong Government, I decided to purchase the equipment for USA. I am able to reproduce the results in Hong Kong now in USA.

10. My technique is to carefully examine the waveforms on the oscilloscopes. The most important one is the Power Curve. I shall use the signal generator as the pulsing source again. If the theory is right, I should be able to produce the Steven Mark prototype and NO pulsing source would be necessary. So far, all preliminary experiments pointed to that direction.

11. Many teams trained by me in both Hong Kong and USA hinted that they have achieved the Steven Mark results but refused to disclose the information freely and openly on the Internet because of commercial reasons. One group told me that they would send me a working product after they have commercialized their operations.

12. I do not treat the work as my invention. I treat it as Divine Revelations from the Almighty to benefit the entire human race. Thus my own work will be given free to the World.

More research and investigation will be conducted. At present, it appears that Multiple LCR resonance circuits do have some strange effects. There is measurable voltage activity compared with pure background case.

It is a matter of whether we can magnify such effects.

It is the dogged determination PLUS the correct method

I had a chance to meet the swimming coach Pauline Tao. Pauline was at one time a National swimming Gold Medal Winner and a Coach of the now famed China swimming team. She is now the Head Coach at Waterworks in Irvine.

She only coaches the swimmers who want to compete and excel. Some of her students are as young as six years old. I spoke to one of her top students who recently qualified for the Junior Olympics. She joined the swimming team at the age of six and has been coached by Pauline for four years now.

The training was brutal. In order to cater for the normal schooling, the students have the team training at 5:30 to 7:30 am Monday to Friday. Some take private lessons in the evening or at weekends. There are regular competitions within the team and with other swimming clubs. The progress of every student is charted and checked.

Parents were not allowed in the team lessons. Most of the American Coaches use the praising technique to encourage their students. Some minor faults may even be tolerated. The emphasis is on fun. But Pauline is different. Resonance

The sound resonance experiments clearly revealed the following:

1. Louder sounds can be produced by placing resonance tubes or glasses at the appropriate positions.
2. The frequency is important and fortunately, this can be produced and reproduced with the signal generator.
3. At other non-appropriate positions, there will be no louder sound. In some configurations, the sound may even be less.
4. Tuning is extremely important.

I believe something similar will happen with Multiple LCR resonance. Many tried and few succeeded because the resonance conditions were not met. Hopefully, when the replacement parts from China arrive (a few days?), the tuning experiments can be done in USA.
