The idea was, since this thread got so big, to just post all the relevant findings and design of a coil in the first few posts so it's all on the front page and easy to find. I see nothing wrong with documenting "incorrect" things, especially if it includes the fact that it's "incorrect" and it's all experimentation. Isn't that a part of science and experimentation anyway, knowing how not to do something through experience?
