The most powerful and convincing experiment is actually the 4 or more tuning forks on resonance experiment.

Does anyone have an explanation for how the light in the lower circuit can light up when the upper light shows "no light" ?

One would like to see oscilloscope waveforms for the two circuits.
My guess is that the current is still flowing in the upper coil -- but with the wrong conditions to light up the incandescent light bulb there.

Does anyone think this is an "overunity" device? (If so, why?)

I think this is a fun demonstration, in any case, so I'm also planning to replicate. I'm looking for two air-solenoid coils that I think I'll by from a commercial source in this case, to get uniformity. I have plenty of caps I can use. I also plan to try other lights other than incandescents, such as LED's.
I think we can learn a lot from a pair of coupled LC circuits!

Testing of the Armagdn03 resonance circuit

The ideal testing should have two oscilloscopes. One for Input and one for Output.

One Oscilloscope should display the Input Voltage waveform, the Input Current waveform (voltage across the 1 ohm resistor) and the product of Channel 1 and Channel 2 (representing the Instantaneous Input Power). Since most DSOs have common ground for Channel 1 and Channel 2, the trigger timing will start at the same time.

The other Oscilloscope should display the Output Voltage waveform, the Output Current waveform (voltage across the 1 ohm resistor) and the product of Channel 1 and Channel 2 (representing the Instantaneous Output Power).

The comparison of the waveforms should yield much useful information.

In particular, the area under the Instantaneous Power Curves would yield the Energy. Some DSOs will provide this integration internally. Some will require an external mathematics function. In many cases, we can also use the mean power.

The attached diagram shows the exact connections. The chance of Output Power greater than Input Power at resonance is extremely high. The reason is because of the bringing-in of the electron motion energy.

Rave154 and Muon will replicate the circuit. Hopefully the attached diagram will help in their testing.

1. The Inductance Coil and the Capacitor used in the Primary and in the Secondary Circuit can be identical.

2. There can be some tuning with the soft Iron rod. Its position can vary and thus affect the resonance condition.

3. The Signal Generator can have different voltage output and different frequencies. It is a matter of matching that to that of the primary and secondary circuits.

5. Armagdn03 can provide the oscilloscope shots easily as he already have the circuit. However, the circuit is relatively easy to replicate. Demonstrating overunity is no longer impossible.

6. Once the tuning fork experimental results, this armagdn03 results, FLEET, Joule Ringer and others results show COP >1, the development of Bring-in Energy devices will gain momentum. The academic world will respond (resonate) with their existing energy. The World energy crisis will be over.
