We are only asking what is due us all on this planet: the benefits of Scientific Discovery for save, clean and cheap energy.

That is not "begging" anything, it is about the demand that both Scientific Method, and the Rule of Law, be followed when it comes to this subject of "Energy"... And neither is being observed now. It is not "begging" to demand that the drug dealers in your neighborhood be stopped: It is THE SAME here, because those doing the suppressing, are criminals.

We being asked to accept this bizarre and ridiculous claim about the "current state of technology".... where every single facet and avenue of scientific research, has grown exponentially over the years, EXCEPT if it has to do with energy production

Except for the proved-dangerous "fission nuclear" (always linked to weapons research, and only possible for energy via centralized monopoly production), we are still mainly doing what they were in 1905 to get our energy. Oh sure, they let a little Solar and Wind power out there (again, mostly via centralized production), but no one is ever interested in seeing it thrive in the US for DE-CENTRALIZED production that we do ourselves.

Hell, there were more "Hurricane" Well Pump Wind Vanes in 1905 on farms, than there are now wind generators. Despite being promised it for years, there is no "Solar Initiative" to get the Return of Investment period for home solar installation much lower, via Economy of Scale manufacturing that would quickly drop the prices greatly so millions of homeowners and small businesses could afford it. There is no large interest in producing more efficient solar panels, even though scientists at Stanford U made a discovery that would at least double efficiency, and still use cheap silicon for the photovoltaic cells. We know for undeniable fact, from the "PC Revolution" and from "PC Memory", that when material costs are minimal, the only serious factor for "Price" is the number of units manufactured... greatly increase production, and the manufacturing costs drop by a factor of hundreds of times.

So we could have SOLAR Free Energy, but even that is being stopped lol... and they can't even plausibly debunk or attack it, it's just being stopped anyway through keeping it too expensive for most folks to afford; especially in an economic Depression.

When BP is the largest player in the photovoltaics market, its really no wonder. In a real world, that would clearly be in breach of Anti-trust Laws, and even stock fraud (because they have public stocks in their main business "Oil", that are artificially higher than they should be because they suppress the alternatives). But we live in the Corporate Lie World now: they never go to jail, are never even publicly questioned, and always have an army of the best politicians money can buy at their fingertips.

We can see this now in the U.S. House: There are about 50 congresspeople, who literally believe that the answer to the BP Gulf Disaster, is more deep water offshore drilling, with less regulation.

I seriously doubt the people of Japan will allow another nuclear plant to ever be built there,

I am afraid that Japan or any other country will allow whatever the elite tell them to cope with.

RIght now the World is destroying another country to steal their oil and kill their people and nobody will complain about it.

Only 1 in 1000 seems to know what's going on in the World. The rest just don't want to bother with reality.

What happens when people are faced with the death of themselves and their families, and a serious threat to their entire society, cannot be so easily "spun" and manipulated. Because it then becomes "instinctual"; and affects them at a deep level that cannot be argued away using the usual media tricks. The truth about Tokyo Electric and General Electric's faulty reactors and criminally poor plant management, are out there for the Japanese people to see, and that information will spread. The conclusions to that cannot be spun as "good" in any way, even for the "masters of media deception".

So i guess we will have to see about Japan. What is more pressing at the moment, is the now mostly-suppressed news about how these reactors are still spewing radiation... so far every "tomorrow will solve it" claim in the mainstream media has proved false. These appear on the face to be rather short-sighted, but they believe that if they repeat this mantra that: "It is being solved, don't worry", they can "weather" the crisis, and eventually people will stop wondering about it, just assuming it was solved as they claimed it would be. We will see if they weather it or not, because they are now out there on a very "dangerous" limb where their calculations and attempts at staunching become meaningless to events... they were forced to choose a response that it is huge gamble.

Every town and city in North America has radiation detection equipment as part of their emergency response kits. Every University and many high schools as well. It can't be suppressed, and attempting to, as they may try in the national mainstream media... will finally sink them. This is not the BP Gulf Disaster. What worked there won't work here; and these things are "culmative" and eventually reach a point where even their allies and employees can't stomach the corruption any more... and that cusp point, is again, about the survival instinct of the human animal, and our species against those who have proved themselves enemies of it.

Please take the time to watch no matter what you think about him. Dennis Kucinich, a US Congressman from Cleveland, Ohio, states here that he wants to take our:

Energy Policy away from the oil corporations and our foreign policy away from the arms manufactures.

Maybe that alone is worth supporting him on? We do not have to agree with everything he says: Take it on spec ; take it one policy and issue at a time. The world is not black and white folks, and not just "red or blue" either.

At least SOMEONE finally said it.

It unfortunate that the main stream population of this country is not mad enough to make a Bush prosecution a reality. There should be civil unrest from shore to shore demanding not only prosecution for the crimes against humanity but the Coup by the banks of this country to seize any remaining wealth of the middle class. So many crimes committed and now documented. But the justice department does nothing.

I personally do not see a civil way out of it. Any reformatting of the government or serious drive to change the rules around governing will just result in a civil war or at minimum a larger police state to control the population.

We can encourage middle eastern countries to protest their leadership in the name of freedom, but I don't think it would be at all tolerated here.

An important thing to remember about civil disobedience is this: Only non violent protest, or other actions like general strikes, will gain or maintain the greater public's approval. Violent actions make it easy to spin fear generation in the majority... who will then side with the government's draconian responses... not get more angry from them. Without a wide base of support, any movement is doomed. So there are very practical reasons for non-violent struggle; beyond the moral ones.. which are pretty compelling too imo

Gandhi knew this, and he worked his movement like a military campaign... without firing a shot. I would remind folks that campaign was the most successful ever seen; it beat the largest Empire ever and there was a great deal of domestic infighting and dissension within their ranks as well... including the huge problems between the Islamic and other religions, mainly Hindus but also Jains, Buddhists, and Sikhs . Sure they still fight there: But allying them against the British even temporarily, who were masters at keeping them all at their own throats, was perhaps the greatest success of all.

The analogy here, would be something like uniting the Red and Blue religion substitutes

Ya I seen that speech originally. It pretty obvious that he at some point during the oil spill in the gulf learned the harsh reality of trying to buck the oil cartel. 15 days after they plugged the hole he got on stage, and it was apparent he wasn't in a good mood, and announced 79% of the oil had either been dispersed or cleaned up. 4 days later the university of Alabama found it all just below the surface and was immediately expelled from the gulf for announcing it.
Point being Obama wanted that 20 billion dollar payment over 20 years and was willing to lie on the behalf of the oil company to get it. Prior to that point I still believe he was trying to look out for the people.

Even today we see the pressure of that payment looming over our government with Libya. There is no way in the world we would support a humanitarian action in the name of a group of radical Islamics. Which is what most of the Libyan rebels are.
Its all about protecting BP's newly contracted oil deals. They retain the rights to all the oil flowing out of Libya with the option for new drilling onshore and offshore. They have offshore enough oil to raise the output of the country to almost 6 percent of the worlds oil needs.
Remember the Lockerbie bomber??? That was all BP. France and England both get what oil they have from BP, as well as a couple of other countries.

If you watch the time line of how Libya has unfolded, from the time minister of oil started supporting the rebellion to date they started bombing it becomes very clear this a about the oil flowing and not about the people.

Well I guess we could all do sit ins at the local gas stations until for some reason the government takes notice. LOL

@ Ash, yes thanks for posting that, i was pretty glad to see the Rodin Coil get to a local TEDx.. maybe someday even the "real" TED hehehe. I have contacted them and asked why it is that they never invite Dr. Daniel Nocera to TED... a tenured scientist of MIT... is it because they are corporate sponsored lol? Funny how lots of G.E. scientists are always there. They DO NOT talk about real energy alternatives at TED, so far anyway.

They actually put contractors on the ground for spotting targets. Keep civilian casualties down. I live the area of Ft Bragg NC we have alot of contractors who live in this area. If they actually put soldiers on the ground it would be Air Force Special operations, and again they would be just for spotting and recon. And most likely they would go in under Nato Command so its technically NOT US on the ground.
I lived near Military bases all my life, you get familiar with process by getting to know people.
I can't help but to think spotters on the ground are good idea no matter the consequence or restriction from the rules. Bombs kill people, we might as well kill the intended targets, right or wrong.

Although details are naturally "sketchy", there appears to be no question United States Marines are on the ground there now, in at least "battalion" force. I mean the MSM itself has stated this. They are claimed to be garrisoning coastal towns as "buffers".

Does it really matter what they are there for? It is illegal under International Law to invade sovereign nations. The UN resolution was for an aerial NO FLY ZONE.
