It might be a good idea to short out the gap between the two copper spheres with a temporary electrical connection during the construction of the Ammann device to prevent accidental exposure of the body to hazardous electrical discharges should the device become operational prior to its completion.

I've been doing some experiments since recently getting the notion in my head that...

• the bronze spheres are spherical capacitors
• the mineral/s are a pair of borax diodes in a PNP configuration with
• a carbon rod serving as the "N" in between
• a pair of copper electrodes serving as the two "P"s in
• an alkaline electrolyte of borax wherein
• the carbon rod is connected by a single magnetizable wire to a loop of magnetizable material serving as the repository of current as well as being wireless transmission up to a limit of 50 feet after which some copper-based transmission line or house wiring is needed to carry it further up to a limit of 10 miles

This constitutes a self-recharging battery. There is no atmospheric influence involved unlike the Ammann claim.
One of the copper spheres becomes positive while the other becomes negative. Somehow, they decide which will become which.
This constitutes the power station. No electric load connects to this.
The load needs to receive power from this device via a receiver coil made of magnetizable material and held adjacent to an additional mass of magnetizable material.
The higher is the alkalinity of the electrolyte contributes to a higher voltage difference between the copper spheres.
Increasing the distance between the copper electrodes of each sphere probably contributes to raising their voltage difference.
Increasing the mass of the magnetizable loop probably stabilizes its possession of current making its dips and surges less extreme since the voltage difference between the two copper spheres varies over time. It is not steady.
According to Edward Leedskalnin, there will be two magnetic currents traversing the magnetizable loop: one will be north monopolar while the opposite direction of magnetic current will be south monopolar.
