The one on the Tom Beardon website is the most interesting. In particular picture 9, which shows the circuit of ''parametric excitation in a regenerating system.'' Self inductance is mentioned many times.

The second one just looks like an old soviet Physics book including chapters on ''ultraviolet spectrum of the sun'', ''contemporary radio'', ''seismic activity during atomic bombs'', ''radio spectroscopy'' and many many more...The most interesting chapter to this thread is ''evolution of the understanding of resonance''

Cant see much coming from these...but i'll give the circuit a go in picture 9 perhaps.

Ive heard of both of them from the russian forums, but i havent seen any schematics. If they are lighting that 15W filament from a 8V battery, then that is something special.

...but then again, i can certainly light CFLs on 6V (...and im well aware of the fuji JT). its the filament that impresses me. But I spose 15 W is a pretty small filament. Perhaps i could do the same...im gonna buy one as soon as i get the chance.

I'll certainly test a few more strange coil setups with my HV power supply.

8.4V x 0.120A means he is lightning a 15W lamp with just 1.008Watts!

thats impressive, cause im lightning my 25W lamp with 85Vx0.06A = 5.1W but weak light! anybody is aware of his circuit? if this power values are real, that setup seems OU to me! the load seems quite bright for that amount of input!

As a competent builder, you deserve a translation. Well done on all your results - ive seen them on Naudins website and OU.com. And I appreciate your honesty too.

Ive got a day off tomorrow - consider me in translation mode. If anyone has a circuit diagram of a Kacher or Brovin generator, please post it. circuit diagrams are worth more than words....even ones from Brovin himself....whoever he is

Thank you Luno for the one already posted (see above). There seem to be a lot of variations on this ''kacher'' design....but from what ive read so far, it kinda reminds me of a (big) Joulethief!!! transistor and coils, sometimes with a ferrite core.

OK - so i used google translator to speed up the process, but it has been edited. I'll be searching the forums on my day off tomorrow for simple circuit diagrams and posting them here - kacher and brovin generators (still dont know if they are the same or different.)

Getting to know the Kacher (kachatel reactance) - a new way of controlling a transistor Patent RF № 2265276.
1. Transistor KT315G (or any other which follows the processes described by the voltages on collector and base) connected to two power sources: 0.6V at the base, and the other 1.5V to the collector, through inductors on long wires.
Inductors are made from any isolated low-resistance wire, diameter up to 0.2 mm, wound on a pile of three fingers), 32 for the coil in the collector, 64 for the coil in the base.
Turn on both inputs and observe pulses or a continuous generation in the base and collector independent of the relative position of the coils, with only various pictures being observed on an oscilloscope.
If you have no oscilloscope you can control generation with the lighting of an LED, the third coil not being connected with the Kacher (also wound on the three fingers (turns 50)) and shunted LED .. It glows from approaching the base or the collector coil, only if there is generation.

2. The base inductor is taken from the source of 0.6V and connected to the minus of the power supply of the collector, and again we observe the same impulses. If not, touch the base with tweezers, and the pulses will come. The power supply voltage of the collector can be varied within wide ranges. The pulse generator operates in a tightly closed transistor. Usually this does not happen, though perhaps here its doing so in a new way? Note here the current consumed from the power source can be much higher than the current tolerated by this transistor.
