  • 0.5 Volt + 7 Microamps = Solid State Battery !!!

    My first solid state battery with stable 0.5 volt + 7 microamps :

    The cell is made of universal glue mixed with sea salt between
    the silver coin and the aluminium plate electrodes.

    Pictures of voltage and current measurments from the cell :

    That wonderful; more than 1600 companies and entities are actively involved in developing solid-state batteries 1288 reported patents filed in 2025
    having now over 8000 patents filings for other major patent holders;
    It must be nice developing something everyone else on the planet is working on;
    By the way the EttCM energy technology will totally replace the need for batteries in the future; so; all the patents are going to be somewhat useless;

    but it is wonderful that you can now move forward on someone's project that is the same as everyone's projects worldwide;

    Din ma - Tom; - I like to have something no one else is working on; and wishes to not have; their car running on in the future; or power their Space craft to other planets; ON;

    Thanks for posting this; thing; I am sure someone will want to have another same type of battery thing to use; out of the probably millions in the next years being developed by everyone?

      Hi from Kai Anders Wold:

      I really enjoyed your reply Tom Wlazlak

      That message really went into my heart

      Interesting to see that so many are doing work with
      solid state batteries

      Keep doing your projects too and don`t give up

        Hi Tom Wlazlak :

        My solid state cell setup was not copied from someone else !!!

        The solid electrolyte of universal glue mixed with sea salt was an idea which steamed from almost 10 years of trial and error research on self-charging cells and knowlegde and experience have been accumulation since i started on 21.04.2016 ….

        I had been doing lot’s of cell experiments with different setups with salt , universal glue , glue stick , citrone acid , wood , graphite , active coal , titanium dioxide , ceramic magnet , neodymium magnet , silica sand , copper , tin, aluminium , silica glass , chromium , bronze , zinc\iron , iron , stainless steel , titanium , cardboard , paper , plant soil , nickel , gold , silver , platina , iron oxide , cabbage pH-indicator , playdoh clay , beach clay , acrylic paint , blue silica crystal , coca cola , milk , soap , toothpaste …

          Hi Tom Wlazlak :

          I did only one other solid state battery
          experiment earlier in my research :

          zinc/Iron screw , copper screw and solid
          electrolyte of resin mixed with salt and water.

          That experiment had very low current too …

            Hello, String theory, very interesting, a self charging cell, back in the 1960's there was a Tv show call Sea-hunt; on one of the episodes from over 60 years ago a scientist showed a bulb
            he placed on salt water and it lit up very bright; The light was about the size of a pin light bulb; it also was self charging;

            In the late 1880's There was a battery used called a Gravity cell battery this battery also used a form of salt an it way used mostly on the phone system of the 1900"s because it would stay charged forever; without needing charged producing thousands of watts of power; As long as there was a power load on the batteries the power would remain constant;

            point is; what goes around comes around; The fossil fuels are running out; now people are thinking what to Do? - What to use; Cars used to run using Steam power ran on Coal;
            ships used to be power by the wind; using sails; ( google modern ships being powered using wind power ) In the past it was not necessary to use wind at all; so much fossil fuels at low cost; But now; the less dinosaur poop; being pump out of the earth means a greater cost; In 1970 a gallon of diesel fuel was 10 cents; a gallon of gas was 32 cents;
            That is something that is not going to go around again; Now the cost of diesel that was the waste fuel of that time zone cost more than Gas;

            Of course in the 1900's the world population was about 200 million worldwide; now it is 8 billion or so; Going back to using Salt as a power source; could be a little on the crazy side;

            But what's a Mother to do?

            Din ma Tom

              Interesting thoughts 👍

              A lot of early “self-charging” or salt-based experiments were more about basic electrochemical reactions rather than true free energy, but they definitely inspired modern battery and renewable energy research.

              Either way, it shows how ideas keep evolving as energy needs change ⚡
