Edit- NEW VIDEO Slow motion Tesla Coil to "Worm Mountain" by The Flaming Lips
Just having some fun with my new tesla coil setup. still 3 mots (1 acting as balast resistor with primary shorted). 4K volts have added 2 series - 1/4" tungsten spark gaps. (Don't worry Jeff i still want thouse 3/4" gaps from you for my new 9kv franceformer- will order soon). Also added new stainless sphere, however toroid still needed for distance.

more urethane

on 3rd 5min run some shorting from inside of primary to the bottom of the secondary. On my 10th urethane coat now but i guess it still needs more. Thought i had it covered on my last coat. :P
so had to suspend coil show. lol

Was just trying out an easy to set up dlink wireless g-band camera. Pretty user friendly model dcs-920 had it up and streaming to server in less than 30mins.

Loving how the coil is working now though i have to say.

Truth be known, when i realized that i wanted closer shots of my Tesla coil running by first concern was, wrecking my Blackberry Storm via back EMF (already noticed electro-conductive touch screen goes on the blitz). So I picked up a dlink wireless cam for $100 ...
