  • Mylow's Working Howard Johnson Replication

Here is a permanent magnet motor that actually looks like it may be real. This guy "mylow" just released this and has been posting many videos the last couple days. Here is one of the vids that gives a good overview.

YouTube - howard johnson magnetic motor

He says that it would run forever, however the stator magnet demagnetizes over a short period of time (within a day or so). Here is his web page.

OS: MYLOW's Magnetic Motor based on Howard Johnson's Design - PESWiki

It has caught the attention of Sterling Allen who just did an interview of him here.

    YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Its always exciting to see things like this, i hope it turns out to be real.

Cody, this has already been posted in a thread found here: http://www.energeticforum.com/49175-post1.html

Hehehe yes it's working but is the device actually a runner or is it "working" in another way?

Got a kick outta Clanzer's replication he was doing over at OU, he teased everyone with nice photos of his "C" shaped rotor mags all glued down in meticulous order to a nice alum plate.. Then said the had to quit for the day LOL!

People were saying: "Wait!... Can't you just hold the stator mag there a minute to see if anything happens!?" (..which i agreed totally with, lol).

I think he was having some fun with us

The interest on this is very high right now.

If no one can get this one to work, we really should come up with another design that does; and do it quickly.. Not a perfect or elegant one maybe but one that still shows the potential... Like one with a little solenoid lever arm that momentarily moves away the stator mag at the sticky spot of the rotor, the same way "hand waving" works with several different designs... With gen coils powering the solenoid. It should work and be fairly easy to build, and even if it has to be hand-started that would be ok.

Such a device would turn a potential problem into a positive, and show that mag motors really can work (even "clunky" self-running is still self-running and proves the point ).

I apologize for posting this thread, i didnt know it was already posted elsewhere, thanks rick.

          Braden,
I have got the same results as that guy shows in the link you posted. However when i put more sets on the wheel, it preforms poorly and dies. Im still not sure about this one, although i would like it to be real. It must be realized that when you start it (the sweet spot), you have to push it into an opposing field(like poles) or repelling poles. Therefore you "the operator" supply the initial energy to get it across the first opposing magnet. And so far my tests have shown that that energy ,which you initially supplied, runs out within a few "sets". Sorry if that is hard to follow but basically you start it in a position with high kinetic energy, which you put in, not the magnets. With that said i will say that it is interesting, and its very possible that i dont have it set up correctly. Mylow is still putting up new videos daily, hopefully he will get a good one up soon because im still not completely buying his previous ones, to much camera panning off the device, or not showing the whole wheel.
