The Razorblades are better better better

Additional to my Circuit above, you can wire a poled Cap together,
and connect both Ends to the Output. It works like a Buffer.
Place it between + and - will cause a short.

Does anyone know what kind of "beating" can they withstand, voltage and/or current wise?

Beating razor blades

So far, striking them against different wires etc by hand (c200v ? Meter's lie) to get purple flash in neon using joule thief circuit, the legs of neon, enamel coated copper wire, and alligator clip ends, all started pitting before the razor blades. Methinks they are made of high grade steel, hence springyness. Also, they're relatively cheap and can be found at grocery stores or failing that, at barber / specialist shaving shops.

Another source of springs is lighters If you are a filthy, dirty, disgusting smoker (like me ) you'll have an endless supply of these springs But they do tend to melt with high amperage but you can get around that by putting a wire down the middle of it and use the end of the wire as the contact

I am one from those filthy Smokers too.
But we got by us mostly only refillable Electronic lighters.
For now, i take any Ballpent i can find apart. :P
But this is a good idea with the Wire.
I did make the last one inside a Hull of a Pen, and fixed it with Glue.
Then its kinda shockproof.

Any gains in field collapse are offset by extra EMF resistance in coil wire.. And vice versa.

This is odd, I sound like I know what I'm talking about. Year ago I only knew first year high school electronics, and that faded by 20 years... Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks eh.

Magnet Switch Easy to Build

Only take a relay, take it out the cap, put a little neo magnet above in repulsion mode .... Works well....

Big relay has a spring, is possible mod the spring to make it weaker....
