That sure sounds like Steven Marks setup to me. But then, I don't know much. As for the conical coils, you can get them from the older CRTs. I'll go take a picture of one and add it in here.

Thanks Warren, but the idea I have is very different. Only a single wire, full loop 360degree. Cone 45 to 60 degree and exactly 3 layers mono direction - similar kind of winding to Tesla pancake. First layer is not too bad. but then second and third keep on slipping off. Now I am taking long time - wind little and epoxy them, then wind little and epoxy ...... Can only do slow winding by hand too. Guess it is good for excercise!

Meters and measurements are always a concern, by those I had over unity.

Yet the ultimate test of OU is to get all external power off and recycle what you create i.e. I eventually used only one battery (12v Li 4.7Ahrs) lit 1x CFL and cycled all the other energy back to it - It took 56 hours to go from 12.39 to 12.14. Not bad - BUT not OU.

BUT in the mean time; I go on with this circuit of yours. There are a lot of things here that are similar to what we found on Imhothep and my circuit. I am very curious as to why/what. This means we can compare the results from the two circuits which is great to get better understanding.

At least we have a binocular now, not just an ancient spyglass!

Cody "jou Doring" - and THAT is a compliment! I have been playing with a similar set-up last weekend to see how one coil will affect resonance inside another. Here is a photo. What I like of this MIT is the different switches for their ? caps? Very interesting indeed.

I have done a bit more in that one by also using coils as the internal core. Also did same with two Caduceus coils, one sliding into the other.
Will fix up nice presentable for video series! Coils are captuning me more and more!

I am still getting parts together for the H bridge flip flop, I am having trouble locating the mosfet drivers. Does groundloop recommend any other suitable parts?

I was hoping to configure the tl494 chip that Erfinder got me onto to perform a similar function, it has flip flop capabilities and would be ideal for me because I am already familiar with it and it is easily obtained. Maybe Groundloop would be kind enough to look at it sometime. As it is, I dont have access to a signal generator, which is the only thing holding me back.

I was hoping I could use a PWM chip (tl494 or even simple 555) in place of your (AC?) signal generator? If this is suitable, its frequencies would simply need to be broad enough I guess to allow for sweeping.

Let me know if you have any advice.

As my computer recently died (i use my phone now) could someone let me know the frequency between 100 hz and 20khz for my 555 timer pulse generator that makes a harmonic resonance that gotoluc is using?? Off the top of my head, 312mhz?? It really would help all of us without signal generators... Maybe...... My multimeter can read frequencies up to 20mhz

Luc, I playes around with the signal generator some more and found out that the effect in my video was just an ordinary transformer action, because it works just as well or even slightly better without any caps at all, just using the signal generator. That explains why the field was bigger when a higher capacity was used and why the effect increased when I used a core material. Just ordinary magnetic transformer action. Still, it would not light up the CFL at any frequency, only at certain frequencies and resonance still plays a big role here. But with your latest circuit that is able to light up CFLs without wires, you got something better there

Edit: Played around some more. I found a core from an microwave fan, just like you had in your video. I removed the core and put a cap in series. Then I put a rectifier across the coil and the rectifier was connected to a 1000V 1uF cap. I just wanted to see how high I can charge that cap. Sweeping through frequencies I could find various sweetspots, but there was always one that made the cap charge to higher voltage. The best I could get was 230V on the cap without any ground connected. I used a 1500pF cap, but I also experimented by changinn capacities by connecting those 1500pF caps in series and parallel configurations. I found out that there is also a sweetspot in capacity that gives the best results, so in order to get maximum out of the setup, you need to be able to adjust the frequency and also the capacity.

Your idea to use the batteries as power was great

We clearly see that the depleting rate is not negatively influenced by the connection of the coils ... it even seems to give power for 2 secondes, then slow down the draining of the batteries !! Yahoooo !

I hope people will join to sponsor your experiments to buy some material at least, to see if the effect can be multiplied, buy adding more coils, or different size coils, or bigger loads, etc ...

By the way, can you light tubes at close range from the running coils without disturbing the caps charging ?

I don't know the price of wire spool and parts you need, but i scare that 100 Euros is not enough

I'm sure I will be soon able to send you more, God willing, because if you can increase the effect you will need to get more material; we can not let this stand without investigating it more deeply !
