I have been working on this for some time just need a little input from the best forum around any input would be appreciated

As far i know, you need benched Magnets outside, because of the Fluxfield.

I had tried somthing along these lines and still beleive it could work.
I did a simple cam drive based more on gravity than actuall geared motion See attached thumbnail.

The problem is finding the right combination of magnets and drag on the motor.

A geared motor would make to much drag unless you used incredibly big magnets. They in turn would make too big of a feild for mechanism to actually be feasable. Oncoming Feilds would collide with the drive feild.

Then you still want to do more than provide inertia to the wheel, you need actually make Torque to drive somthing for the device to be more than novelty.

Your combination of North South Mags would only stall based on the south attraction to the north. Remember the Attraction slows the mechanism as the magnets line up. If you strictly rely on repulsion then you will eliminate that.

One more thing, and you should play with it (In real life) so you see what I am saying. Angle both sets of magnets to each other, not perpendicular. With an angle you can get out of the way of the coming magnets faster while providing the needed push to the magnet leaving. Somthing like 60 deg "V" works pretty good.

I definantly beleive that this system although maybe not viable could produce motion, and maybe even with magnetic bearing well.....

We'll see what could happen..

the ultimate Puzzle

I was thinking of adding thin plates of steel on the sides mounted to the pistons to reduce fields between the magnets it would have to be on both sides of the mag pistons to be effective. This is all just a concept I'm kicking around I did model it to scale so the parts can be cut out with a CNC 2 or 3 axis milling machine . If the center drum rotation can overcome the opposing force generated at the maximum point of drag then it might have a chance. it is the ultimate Puzzle no doubt

maxforce engine

I saw this on you tube YouTube - maxforce engine I was crushed at first but I decide to open the design it seems to work the drum is segmented so you independently time each piston and maybe use a crank from a car but the magnets would brake the bank.

Kinda looks like they beat ya to it. Well If its real that is. I'm skeptical of anything filmed from only one angle. No obvious starting action either.

If we all said it's already been done, we would not be here. It is curious that you cant see below the maxforce it or see it start, but the concept is similar I have many designs that I thought showed potential but this is the best. here is my second best
you never know until you try. the pulse motor stuff works but this is the puzzle I can't stop modeling
