  • HHO Efie and check engine light

Been having some problem getting my adjustments to my electronic fuel adjustments right from my efie install. As I tweak the efie to get best lean mix my check engine light keeps coming on...

Bought a Scan Guage after doing some research and it has a nice feature for canceling off the check engine alarm which is really good. This scan gauge has some other nice reads and it connects direct on any post '96 vehicle.

Now I can get a calculated adjustment on my efie to the verge of engine damage...

At least according to my sensor for the engine.

    check engine light

Lately I have had trouble with my check engine light. I have a Honda civic SI, and have replaced the Cat and both O2 sensors. The light still would not go out until I gave up and took it to Honda anyway. There is a particular way the car must be driven for the computer to properly reset. And unless you have moles in Honda, finding out how to trick the computer is closely guarded. I believe this will be the greatest obstacle to getting the HHO to run properly on most cars with computers. The computer will look for conditions quite different from what an HHO produces in the engine and it will attempt to adjust to its original state thereby eliminating any efficiency gains. It may take a reprogrammed computer or an older engine without one to make this work.

Try putting the Spark Plug Non Fouler Mod on the After Cat O2 Sensors. It works on allot of vehicles to make the CEL go out. What is happening is the Large amount of O in the exhaust is seen as a Cat Problem. It is seen in almost every vehicle that changes to High Flow exhaust for performance reasons and this Mod was developed just for this problem. Just do the After cat O2 sensors and reset the ecu by disconnecting the ground from the battery for about 15mins. That will work with most vehicles.

        Good feedback Scan Gauge

        Thanks for the info...

For now the check engine light is out after reset thru the scan gauge.

Have set back the efie a notch to see how it runs at this set.

        Nothing worthwile comes easy.

        Especially saving energy
