Tubes conditioning mission imposible?

Hi everyone. I built 6 pipe, 15" long, 3/4" in 1" FC with electronic box from Dave Lawton, replica of S. Mayer. I rant the thing using the procedure from Ravi's protocol to condition those pipes and after so much time doing it I don't see any white coating on those pipes. I used a VCR square belt cut in pieces to keep those pipes from each other. I am producing gas so the proces is there but perhaps something is wrong I can't get those pipes coated white. Thanks.

Maybe the water source? I used water from the kitchen sink.

I am using destilled water. Is it maybe why I can't get any staining on those pipes?
