Efie Circuit Design

Redmeanie ...... some questions come to mind. I have basic soldering skills. Repaired the odd cold solder joint on small circuit boards, built custom control panels in vehicles with LED's etc. How difficult will these boards be for a newbie board builder?
Why a 3 position verses a 6 position rotary switch? Wouldn't one have more adjustability with the 6, or am I missing something here.
As my knowledge of PWM's is limited right now, I'm assuming that the regular one you offer could run 1 or 2 cells at a time and the hi-power PWM would run multiple cells? Please forgive this basic question.
Lastly, where in the world will these kits be shipped from? ........ Chet

If you can solder basic joints soldering a small pc board should not be an issue....Its really not difficult at all.....I most likely will be pre-tining the copper tracks to make it even easier....
The 3 I chose because once you have this calibrated you would be able to choose 3 settings you like that are within safe perimeters...6 is too many to go too lean and damage things....Kinda like Highway, City, and Performance which is stock with HHO without dumping unnecessary fuel into the mix...Think about towing something or a hilly or mountainous area...

Yes the samll one is for people that would only want to run one cell, or to use when building multiple cells on your bench...Then you would have the other Hi Power that could run them all once they are built and perform the same...At least thats what I was thinking....But Most people will probably want to use the small one on a "Booster" I was just giving you options for later....

Because Im only going to do this for a month or two, then it will be up to everyone to make there own boards and order the parts individually

As a result of you keeping the price to a minimum and i assume using the revenue generated for R and D plus being fair to others open source circuits, i will be including yours at the start of the panacea university sites hydroxy documents. If your like Smack and offer it out there and also wish to publish its open source ten ill elevate your circuit at the top and preferred panacea choice.

We have allot of hits and will have allot of promo work being done this year. And BTW great work and thanks for making it easier for others.

Lee your are making a huge difference, and ill be putting that in your write up, we need improvements and tests, but also we need structured , VERIFIED and tested information on a clear and concise medium. This is what the long hard road will be on the panacea university site. Now ill be taking your circuits down to Sydney in July (i am in Brisbane Australia) and getting Dyno and computer read outs for alll. The panacea document will be meaner then ever for all.

Guys this is great all as we need is some PDf documentation with out ANY mistakes so we can categorize it and publish it so we can spend more time on R and D and not answering Q's .

EFIE Kit

Redmeanie, does your EFIE kit include a plastic box to put the EFIE in?

I am a new member here, and new to HHO, EFIE. As a matter of fact I never even heard of HHO until about ten days ago. I must admit some of the info is a bit overwhelming at times. But I want to do my part to help reduce emissions and reduce my fuel cost and usage. Thanks for your help, Andy44

Plastic boxes

You can get these plastic boxes (sometimes called project boxes) very cheap at Radio Shack. I get them a lot and have never paid more than $7.50 for one. The small ones are normally in the $2.00 - $3.00 range. Radio shack also has rubber grommets if you wish to run a wire bundle through the box and connectors if you want a disconnect to plug/unplug it.

Side note on the boxes, some have plastic bottoms, some have metal ones. You need to keep this in mind when installing your project in the box (ground plane, unwanted short etc.) I usually insulate the metal bottoms from the project and use a grounding wire instead depending on the circuit.
