Recently I've seen in the net a simple schematic where the AV plug was connected to the output of a microwave oven transformer. The av plug was connected only in the phase wire.
Has anyone tried it?

AV plug is 1/2 of diode bridge. It works but now very efficient.
The higher frequency the better.
